  1. Probably the same two I had for my pacemaker surgery. One of them was F~yl, don't know what the other one was. :/
  2. Well, you DO live in the "Show Me" state!!!
  3. The Carr Fire is still burning, but it is no longer threatening any towns and all evacuation orders have been lifted. We have had new help coming from Texas, Australia, and Samoa to help quench this thing. As for it joining another one, there are 2 new fires burning north of the Carr Fire. The Hirz Fire is on the same side of Lake Shasta and that may be what you have been hearing about. It appears to be burning quite aggressively and is causing many evacuations. As a result, the smoke down here is still pretty thick. The immediate needs have all been met, but the marathon is just beginning.......................
  4. Fill a ziplock with a 50/50 mix of water & isopropyl alcohol. It will get very cold and slushy, but it will still be "bendable" and not be a stiff brick of ice!!!
  5. How close was that mobile to where YOU live???
  6. Computers and electronic money transfers are definitely a two-edged sword! I hope it all works out for you.
  7. I'm exhausted just reading that! Good for you, but don't overdo it!
  8. Keep this in mind as you progress through the next two weeks.....and lean on HIM for strength every day.
  9. http://www.kcra.com/article/big-blisters-woman-warning-others-of-commonly-found-weeds-horrifying-effects/22488311 If you get the sap of this plant - commonly known as Wild Parsnip - on you and then stay exposed to the sun you can develop some terrible blisters! Wash your skin ASAP and stay out of the sun for a few days.
  10. Am I missing something? Cause I think the post is missing something........like a link!
  11. We have a huge herd or flock(?) of Canadian Geese that have taken up residence in my town. They have been here for years and I don't think they will be leaving anytime soon. Unfortunately, they poop everywhere: at the outdoor museum, both cemeteries, and the local swimming holes. Just recently the authorities had to issue an e-coli precaution for one of the local lake beaches which they believe was the result of goose poop! Authorities have asked the public to NOT feed them as it just increases the amount of poop they produce!
  12. Yes ma'am, I still do!!! I prefer it over my "smartphone" cause my fingers are too big to accurately type on the "keyboard" thingie on the phone! Plus, I'm at home most of the time and my WiFI internet access is much cheaper than any cell phone plan out there!
  13. If you can't see the pic, let me know and I will type out the contents. Otherwise, enjoy!
  14. Kappy- I like the idea of the doggie runway/raceway for rainy days! I kinda, sorta, can do the same thing with my dog in my apt. It's not nearly as long as yours but it doesn't seem to matter to her as she can jump on the bed at one end or the stuffed chair in the living room at the other. (I get her to chase a laser light)
  15. Let's have a par-tay! What's a par-tay without food and drink!!! And some music...............
  16. Our Sears store (in the mall) closed about 2 yrs ago, but we still had a K-Mart; until this year that is. It has been in "close-out" mode for the last 6 months or so-not sure what the final day is, but I am pretty sure it will be rather soon. What I don't understand is how a long-standing company like Sears & K-Mart can be going out-of-business while we are getting new stores like Kohls.
  17. Mt Rider..... Are you familiar with this Newsletter? https://multiplesclerosisnewstoday.com/ I came across it because my sister posted a link to a blog entry from there about parking in Handicap Spaces. https://multiplesclerosisnewstoday.com/2018/02/07/multiple-sclerosis-patients-sometimes-need-disabled-parking-carded-costco/
