  7. I'm so happy to read such a positive report!!!!!! I'm sure it does feel like a burden lifted!!! I pray you have a wonderful and productive time away and come back refreshed and rested!
  8. As of this afternoon we have a well and the mobile home is on the lot--not in place yet--that is tomorrow. In other news, I cut a few mats off the pups in preparation of their baths tomorrow, swept, cleaned the stovetop and made laundrey soap for a couple of months. Also set up my vities for the next two weeks. That makes life so much simpler in the morning! Better go set up the coffee too!
  9. Using yahoo, there were only two entries. Googling it, pages and pages, mostly from here and a few flickr and photobucket entries. I found where I was welcomed to MrsS on the day I joined but the picture and name by my writing is CeeGees. It was cool to see all the old posts and friends!
  10. Any update on your little one this morning?
  11. Already made chicken broth and burger and rice to add to dog food, saute`ed bell peppers, onion, jalapeno, and tomato for dh to add to his breakfast and have the noodles cooked and veggies chopped for pasta salad. That's it so far. I'm sure I will come up with something more! And thanks for getting us back on track with the daily diary, Wink!
  12. Hope you have a wonderful day!!!!!!!! And many more to come!!!!!!!!!!! :bdaycake: :bdaycake: :bdaycake:
  13. Monday is cooking day for me. I was up at 5 am and fed the dogs and then DH. When he left at 6:15 I got Italian sausages with bell peppers and onions started and in the crockpot, made 2 pounds of pico de gallo, Cooked scrambled eggs, sausage and hash browns for burrito filling for the week. Now at 9:30, I am starting Stuffed Pepper casserole and then will make blackberry dumplings. That's about it for today. Only one frying pan fits on this stove so it take a long time to get everything saute`ed. Yesterday we fed the cows again for BIL and went to Lowes to check on things for for the house. Is it naptime yet?
  14. Welcome Pam! I agree about the home health care as being a good field to get into and not spend as much time on your feet.
  15. Do you have an update? Sounds like HGE and I'm glad you took him to the vet! Please let us know!
  16. Fed the cows this morning with DH. Here's a brand new baby. Sorry it's blurry but we couldn't stay around and take pics. Would spook the mom. Then went and picked some blackberries growing along the fence. Came home, had lunch and went grocery shopping. that's about it today!
  17. After doing more research on the Valley Fever I believe that he never really got rid of it even though he had no symptoms for a few months. We called the vet this morning and had him call in a refill of his meds. Monday we will take hime in to the vets and have a titer drawn to see where we are at and if that is the problem. He has been hot but hasn't had another seizure since Thursday.
  18. Buddy had a second seizure today. It did not get as far or bad as the first one. It happened right after his tubby. Must have started while I was straightening up in the bathroom. When I walked out he was sitting hunched over, staring straight ahead and peeing. He did jump up on the couch and I put the ice pack on him right away. He just sat there staring ahead. After cooling him a bit I took him outside (on leash) and he was walking a little stiffly and still looking straight ahead. He did his business and then seemed like he could see around him. Not sure if he was kinda blind for a bit or what. We came back in and I used the ice pack again for a little while and then he seemed fine. After his tubby he gets excited and trying to dry off by sliding along the couch so I don't know if that triggered it or not. I am just so glad he did not stop breathing or start screaming!!! I didn't realize that I was even stressed until DH called and I broke down crying. I just did what I had to do to get him through it. If anyone has any advice or input, I would love to hear it. He is fine this evening and so am I!
  19. I hope she feels better soon and we hear from her!!!!!!
  20. Excellent article! Thanks for posting it! I'm going to share the link with another site I visit.
  21. That's cool! Great job!!!!! Love your chickies!
  22. Thanks you all!!! I am always into easy! Martha, what book? I hope you are thinking of TheMartianChick! Or did I talk in my sleep?! CGA, I love the idea for the dress! I just went to a thrift shop today and found some material for a nightgown and to make a chicken doorstop. I will post photos and link when I finish it--the doorstop, that is! The nightgown will be cut by the one I have now. Six seams total! Then I will try more of the t-shirt aprons! I think I will have an assortment of items to sell at the Farmers Market.
  23. I'm still sitting here in the rv park with too much time on my hands. This is the latest project which I did in a couple of hours this morning. I just used an old t-shirt! Here is the link if anyone is interested. http://www.rufflesan...irt-aprons.html Now to see if I can get a photo up! Yay! It worked!
  24. I'm sorry Angel has had one too! They are scary! I really think the ice pack has kept Buddy from having another one. He had a higher temp for several days and now seems back to normal temps. We just kept icing him down on his back. Did Angel have any preliminary signs like the ragged breathing or higher temp? Here is the link for the ice pack therapy! http://www.canine-epilepsy-guardian-angels.com/icepack.htm
