  1. Is impossible to find here or at very high prices. Only thing I make is chutney and fridge pickles. I did make some jam in past, but fruits are expensive. Past summer very few raspberries in my garden , so just 1 bottle of raspberry vinegar I made.
  2. Yes I do believe there are more reasons to the shortages we are not being told, us the public are kept oblivious. The recalls of food we very seldom had those in EU B.C. = before corona and since it, is so many recalls. Maybe a way to hide food, take it out of the system no one will think anything of it. Other thing I find odd...a lot of declutter videos and minimalism videos, much stimulation the years prior to B.C. and now we have a condition youth generation who just loves it, but only own 1 mug, it drops it breaks then what. I am unable to go to shops due to health issues and lately with the OA and sometimes shaky hands lost cups and plates that break drop on floor, so I just take from the others after 39 years housekeeping lots of mismatched dinnerware. I have good cotton pillowcases embroidered from 1973 that are just now wearing thin. I bought new pillowcases only 1 pair but is paper thin and is from a nice shop waited for sales to shop for it, the flannel twin sheet for my sick bed downstairs same issue way too thin not warm flannel. Online their goods look pretty but quality is not there www.ZARA.com They shrink the cane sugar bag is 750 gram instead of 1 kg. Certain grocery items were deleted from assortment, shop says too few buyers but that is just not true. Many months ago was a very short news bit India say they keeping their rice in view of shortages they need it for themselves. Summer was not much cotton clothes and limited choices in online shops. Shopowners said they stuck with unsold winterclothes no-one buy due to at home only. The new fall/winter catalog ordered one nightgown but it is too thin cotton looks more like summer cotton. www.bader.de right click translate to english. The household appliances is still a shortage. This past summer fridge/freezer died and was not much choice for new, so much smaller one now. Same story laundry machine and this some new to me unknown Korean brand that ends cycle with music. Bit odd and scary...in a quiet house.... Christmas is appetizers same as last year. My DD is overseas student not sure about travel in december. Last december was a Christmas trees shortages and here EU is all sorts of laws, like not allowed to go chop a small xmas tree or collect edible mushrooms. The EU laws changed so we lost our small tax exemption threshold on imported online shopping from outside EU. Used to be 22 euro approx 25 usd tax free. But now since 7/2021 is 21% VAT value added tax plus a admin/handling/customs fee on each parcel. Very unfair. They say was due to misuse people buy resell. But some normal citizens we just buy some hobby items from USA. Tax here is very complicated and rules change often. 7. I asked my dr for test he say no need, next time asked again no and then third time he finally gave me the papers to get test and yes it was bone pains low. Then I got Rx vitamin D but vits are here pay yourself. And some time later found a online pharmacy bit higher dosage lower price and it helped more. Reading up on vitamin D see that it helps with many things and is used by body for many things. I noticed too before using got all sorts of colds and now never.
  8. Read Animal Farm for High School in the 1970s. Also 1984. I had recent phone call appt with my GP and asked something about the last flu/influenza vax before the big C start. I am in EU and do not know if flu shots in USA also where bit later that year. Anyone remember this?
