UKGuy
Hello everyone, I'm DomesticGoddess! I'm '50', and have always been a stay-at-home wife ( a.k.a. domestic goddess ). Hubby and I have been married 28 years. We have 3 grown daughters, ( of which 2 are married ) and we have a granddaughter who's 5, as well as a step granddaughter who's 14. I "love" living in the country, so our home is decorated in a country theme. I collect cookbooks, Precious Moments figurines, and Mary Moos. I enjoy reading about the paranormal, ghostly hauntings, the after life, near deayh experiences, ufo's, alien abductions, also about psychics such as, Sylvia Browne, John Edward, James Van Praagh, and Peter James. Then I have several stacks of cooking magazines. I seem to use the "home town" type of cookbooks the most. You know the type, usually published by a church or other organization. I thoroughly enjoy looking through older types, such as the kind that contain great great grandma's recipes. How about you, what kind do you enjoy? Link to comment

You get me in a bookstore, ( or at Sam's Club ) and I'm like a kid in a candy store. I can spend hours just look'n at cookbooks. Have always enjoyed read'n thru those church cookbooks. Use to go to the library, and if there was a cookbook I saw there that I really liked, I would order them at the bookstore. My 3 all-time favorite cookbooks are, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, and Campbell's cookbooks from the 1970's. Also enjoy those cookbooks from past tv shows, Bewitched, Gilligan's Island, Andy Griffith & The Brady Bunch. I too have lots of cooking magazines, from Taste of Home, Country Woman & Quick Cooking. I use to order Hometown Cooking magazines, until they went out of business. I really miss those magazines!! Link to comment
