Insurance
As of last night, I have 105 quart jars of freshly canned green beans sitting on the shelves in my fruit room! I cannot begin to tell you what a beautiful sight that is. I have a tremendous sense of satisfaction after all that hard work! The scripture from Proverbs 31 comes to mind right now, and boy does it ring true. Today will be the beginning of creaming corn. I sure LOVE our garden! Link to comment
Violet
How wonderful ! I also love Proverbs 31. Guess you won't run out of green beans this week. As I always say " it's like money in the bank". Nowdays more valuable than the money. Link to comment

Homemaker
You must have a wonderfully huge garden!! Congratulations! That is a huge investment of your time, from soil prep, to seed planting , all the way to stacking the jars on the shelf. Link to comment
Insurance
Did I read that correctly, Insurance? Did you say fruit room? Wow!! It's not really a fruit room. It is just what my mil has always called it, so that term has stuck with me. It is more like a room with a lot of shelving where all of our canning jars and supplies are kept. Really, we did not put out a big garden this year. We only planted 4 rows of beans, but we have had a lot of rain this summer, so the yield has been really good. We planted the Blue Lake variety ~ which is my favorite. Link to comment
