  1. There must be a reason for the Jack Daniel's in the recipe!!! Maybe the glaze should be used for the slug fritters too.
  2. I consider this forum to be the best place to post this story because History is once again being threatened to be rewritten and the Holocaust NEEDS to be REMEMBERED! If you have a Facebook account, please go to this link and share it on your page, then ask your friends to pass it on. (I know it was posted in Oct, but it just showed up on my Timeline today.) https://www.facebook.com/don.walk1/posts/10208111474162106 An afterthought. Perhaps it "offends" the muzzies sooooooooooo much because it was one of their ayatollahs/sheiks/princes who offered the final solution to Hitler in the first place and they don't want THAT remembered!
  3. $5,000! I'll wait for the 10th generation, thank you very much!!! Besides..................standing at your fridge looking at a picture of what is inside is NOT the SAME as standing in front of the open door of your fridge waiting for something to "jump out" at you!!!
  4. Another common ordinary household object to be aware of. Vigilance and safety consciousness are needed when toddlers (and pets) are in a household. From a related article: “These devastating outcomes occur in small children when batteries get stuck in the esophagus,” said Dr. Toby Litovitz, center physician. When a lithium button battery lodges in a child's esophagus, it causes an electrical current to go through the tissue, she said. “The electrical current is causing more damage because it is splitting the water surrounding the button battery and forming hydroxide, which is an ingredient in lye. Imagine dropping little tiny drops of lye in one place in the esophagus,” Litovitz said. The lye substance perforates the esophagus and goes into whatever tissue is nearby — it can be the aorta or the trachea.
  5. Natalie Cole has died at the early age of 65. R.I.P. Natalie. I loved your music, especially the duets with your dad. <3 http://www.mail.com/entertainment/music/4044240-natalie-cole-grammy-winning-singer-died.html#.7518-stage-set4-4
  6. Got Christy's today so my collection for 2015 is now complete. Thanks everyone.
  7. I won't buy any kibble that is made with corn or soy. I am currently feeding a brand called "Evolve" which I buy at Winco (also available at Raley's but much more expensive). I dry feed the kibble in the A.M. and the dinner feeding is mixed with veggies, broth, chix livers, etc. (I make up a week's worth and keep it in the fridge.) Her waste is firm and not too stinky.
  8. Celebrating Ludwig van Beethoven's 245th Year Help Beethoven's unfortunate journey to the symphony hall by arranging his masterpieces in time for the big crescendo! (Drag the music sheets and arrange them in the correct order. Hint: Listen to the segment first by clicking on the speaker button.) https://www.google.com/doodles/celebrating-ludwig-van-beethovens-245th-year?doodle=18611475&domain_name=google.com&hl=en

  21. "THE BATTLING BOYS OF BENGHAZI" Written by an anonymous Marine Corps officer We're the battling boys of Benghazi , No fame, no glory, no paparazzi. Just a fiery death in a blazing hell, Defending our country we loved so well. It wasn't our job, but we answered the call, fought to the Consulate and scaled the wall. We pulled twenty countrymen from the jaws of fate Led them to safety and stood at the gate. Just the two of us and foes by the score, But we stood fast to bar the door. Three calls for reinforcement, but all were denied, So we fought and we fought and we fought 'til we died. We gave our all for our Uncle Sam, But Barack and Hillary didn't give a d**m. Just two dead Seals who carried the load No thanks to us...we were just "Bumps In The Road"
  22. ..............while I still can. Computer has been dying a slooooooooooooooow death for a while now, and I fear it is finally ready to "give up the ghost." (I hope that covers ALL of the holidays I will miss. Would hate to be gone longer than that. Actually, I hate to be gone even that long. )
