  1. Congratulations for your achievement!! (Doctor of What, may I ask?)
  2. It appears to similar, but there are some differences. The 'secret' to Back to Eden gardens is the covering. I think it would help to watch the video.
  3. I hope you don't mean hot water from the tap! Just think of all the yuckies that are in your hot water tank that would wind up in your ice cubes.
  4. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! I found the link to the full video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&v=AJGW4Va1Ex4&NR=1
  5. At one time the full video was available on YouTube, but I couldn't find it anymore when I went looking. Sooooooooooooooooooooo..............................it's a good thing I had previously downloaded the video! Let me know if you would like to see the whole thing.....it's about 2 hours, but well worth it.
  6. Does anybody here follow the principles of "Back to Eden" gardening? I've done a search and came up blank.
  7. I don't like "home made" ice cubes because of the 'frosty' white center they usually develop. Would using bottled water solve this problem??? (Real question BTW.)
  8. sometimes local/community colleges will allow for concurrent enrollment. maybe there is one nearby you could check with for a photography class.
  9. I don't like to raw pack. During cooking, it all cooks together into a big lump! (I can pieces, not whole breasts). I had about 25lbs of breast and quarters to can, so I pre-cooked in aluminum turkey roasters. (Too much for my largest pot, and I got to throw the messy pans away!) I boned the chix, put it into baggies and used the bones to make broth. then I diced the chicken and combined it with the broth from the bones and processed it for pints. Came out good.
  10. How close to Lake Shasta are you?

  11. Just taking a gander at the new settings I chose. That I thought I chose.
  12. I followed the link hoping for a recipe. I'm very disappointed that it was just another picture.
  13. Only 7 pints made it out alive. Two jars broke in the canner, but I salvaged the meat and had chix salad for a few days.
  14. [i STILL want to know HOW to make the VIDEO APPEAR here instead of just a link!!!!] Top Comments (from YouTube): went to a catholic school when i was a kid and when we were learning about the burial of jesus it said they stripped off jesus's clothing, then some kid started humming this. lol
  15. As long as you don't use a PLASTIC fork.......................right Darlene?!?!?!?!?!?!
  16. NOT worth the 99c I paid for it at the outlet store.
  17. I know that works on other sites, but I have not had any success here.
  18. Violet-do you mean the 'par-boiling' or the water-glass? What about coating with mineral oil and keeping cool, or in the fridge?
  19. OK everybody, try not to laugh toooooooooooooo hard. I priced bottles of mineral oil to use on preserving the 9 doz eggs I bought on sale (.99/doz), but it was way more expensive than I wanted to pay for the little bit I was going to use. Wouldn't you know it, there were enemas on the same shelf, and guess what the main (I should say ONLY) ingredient in the bottle was? You guessed it. Mineral oil!!! So, for $1.49 I bought an enema to treat my eggs with!!!
  20. what I want to know is HOW did you get the actual video to show up in the thread?????? I have tried, unsuccessfully , several times.
  21. 30 day JAIL sentence and $1500 FINE for "collecting" rainwater!!!
  22. Sorry for your loss. Drive carefully yourself, and don't forget to use your seatbelt.
  23. I posted this article in on another board with this question: "Do you think they would stretch the no water saving rule to include people who store water in their homes for emergencies?" Watcha' think???
  24. Steering wheel covers are a necessity in some climes........................such as California! And sometimes it's safer to drive w/o the seatbelt at least until it cools off some (even IF you've parked in the shade!!!) And yes, my left arm is 'tanner' than my right.
