Suzy Q, isn't Miss Maggie a grin? I have tried some of her recipes with success. Some of her mixes weren't so good though She does have a pattern with instructions for cloth pads for anyone interested.

I have tried alot of her recipes with alot of success. If you have never tried her magic milkshakes, do, they are to die for, and I usually hate powdered milk, but these are like a frosty.

I'm also a Hillbilly Housewife fan! My dh loves the oven-fried chicken recipe! I agree with Rita - the magic milkshakes are very, very good and a hit with the kids too!

I actually found Mrs S, from the Hillbilly housewife site, I love it too, but have found the BEST advice and info. here, and have started to get serious in my preps because of Mrs S, but I enjoy checking in there also because she does have good tips, I like her OFF site pantry section, very good info for cooking in the rough.... I do suggest a browse there, she has a lot of recipes for pantry items used for cooking in the rough...dutch ovens, etc.
