  1. I’m too busy for my taste…. Haven’t even been on-line, other to check & make sure MrsS was still working…Typical for this time of year. Finished most of the necessary paperwork… A close friend, co-worker of DH’s, had “mandatory” vax , 3 times, is now down & out with the “C” crud… 4 days after being here. He got exposed at work, a couple days earlier….. Spent all day yesterday, bleaching, lysol’ing, scrubbing & washing, furniture, floors, walls, & ceilings…. Finishing today, what I wasn’t able to complete yesterday….. Need to make puppy biscuits and DH wants oatmeal raisin cookies too…
  2. Busy with end of the year bookkeeping, inventory, on top of cleaning and company. Planning to start working on the garden, as soon as the frost lets up….
  3. DH mentioned that there were heavy snows in your area, Midnightmom.
  4. Over 580 homes burned to the ground…plus businesses and hotels, so far no fatalities. Fire investors saying the found no lines down where the fire seems to have originated around, near or in a barn.
  5. <—————- Darlene when she sees this"……..
  6. Mtn_Rider, you clear of the fires?
  7. …and no two are ever alike..God is awesome!
  8. It has been raining every night, I have to wait for the wet/dew quits dripping off the roof to do laundry, thankfully the last load from Christmas traveling, is washing. Google marked our business as “Permanently Closed”. I have spent the week trying to find a working number for support. HQ number said no tech support and a 2 hour wait on the phone. We managed to update the info, however, the loss of customer business is very upsetting. Thinking about posting the screenshots on our web site and shamming them….
  9. ……for the last 10+ years for us. Da passed on Christmas, sadly MIL has never gotten over it. Hard to be happy, have a good time, with tears and sobbing…….
  10. Home safe, thank God! Weather was terribly windy, heard it was blowing Semi trucks over. Dust storm, could barely see the road, rain & snow flurries. House sitter is back home. Food put up. The rest can wait until tomorrow…..
  11. Oh, Mt_Rider, did your brother get there?
  12. Christmas Day was very calm. I made BBQ T-Bone steaks, baked potatoes and asparagus. Desert was pumpkin cheesecake. Today…very busy… cleaned her house, washed & changed sheets, then, French dips, using leftover steak. I’m done…
  13. Busy busy… house sitter and now we are safe in TX. A long list of “ToDo’s”….
  14. A couple of weeks ago, I wanted to make hash browns, eggs & bacon… Pulled the package out, defrosted it, threw it in the cast iron, with extra oil & butter…potatoes absorb most of it, put the lid on it. Lifted the lid to turn them…. Lol, mozzarella cheese! Ok, I drained the grease, saved it for other uses, & used the fried cheese in other dishes. So…. Today, I’m making spaghetti.. pull out the package, from the freezer, defrost it….. it was shredded potatoes…. Looks like we will be having hash browns, in the next couple of days. Well… that will teach me to label my packages carefully!!!!
  15. Post office run… then DH to an appointment & supposed to meet a friend of his…
  16. Awesome…it’ll go out tomorrow…. Thank you for letting me know..
  17. I agree with Mother. I wish I still had my ‘65 VW, 6 volt, I rebuilt the engine, with the help of an aged pro, a couple of times. When I re-injured my back, I couldn’t work the clutch… sold it… have never missed a vehicle as much. I could push start it, by myself! It really didn’t need the battery to run, just the lights and wipers…. Sigh. Oldie but goodie….
  18. @mommato3boysthank you ever so much for thinking of me. It is beautiful. Guilt played on my conscience…. 5 ornaments are ready to ship. I do not expect anything in return. However, I don’t know if @pauline, Midnightmom, @Snowmomor @snapshotmiki’s addresses are still the same. I don’t guarantee you will receive them by Christmas, but PM me if you are still interested in receiving them.
  19. Oh my, looking forward to seeing what & how everything goes. Including your weather. I’m in the desert, heat, hot, & very little rain. Lol.
  20. Welcome back! Make yourself at home. Glad you have been keeping yourself safe & prepped. We live in very decisive times….
  21. Stay safe.. it was bad, people I know in the area, said it was really bad, but they sustained minimal damage.
