  1. Ya gotta watch that Cat........
  2. If you had the right circumstances and finances available- What type would you want to raise for yourself? Would you raise them for just you? Would you raise them to make a profit? My answer would be Milk Cows. Jerseys. I want to make cheese, butter, soaps and whatever else I could do. I would probably sell my excess. And I would sell the soaps for a profit too. Just curious as to what ya'll would do. I was gonna do a poll on this but couldn't figure out how.. Thanks, Buttercup
  3. I wanna play........ HI SUSA!! I am Buttercup! How exciting a new baby on the way.. I still have a few years before that starts happening.. Well I better have.. We are all glad you found our boards too. We love meeting new friends.. Warning... Watch out for flying cream puffs!!!!
  4. Kegels? Well I hardly know the meaning of the word.. (Just kidding)..
  5. Ok I am in.. I still have 3 post cards to make. But now I can't remember who I sent them to and who I didn't.. But yes please include me... I have some ideas finally... Had to turn my head on it's side and whack it so the stuffing fell out of my ears.
  6. I don't like it when it's this humid by 8am. It's at 91% It did rain a little while ago but the air is so thick. I am ready for some cooler weather. Well I finally got the kitchen half way dug out.. Tonight I guess it's the downstairs bathroom and laundry room. I need to get a scrub brush and do the floors. I took some pork chops out to thaw. And I have to be at work in an hour. When I came home from work yesterday, my goat was suffering. She died a few minutes after I got home. It was gut wrenching. I don't know what happened. I guess there is a slight chance she got into some snake root. I give up. I am not getting anymore baby anythings around here. This weekend we have a weiner roast/ hayride.. It's at my oldest sisters house about an hour away. We look forward to it every year. This year it doesn't look like it's gonna be too cold. There have been some years where by the 3rd week of September the nights were freezing. We had to all huddle together just to keep warm. OK I need to get ready for work. Ya'll take care today. Be safe....... Buttercup
  7. Becca-Anne!!!! How wonderful! Tell your dh congratulations...
  8. Oh that's just not right.............lol
  9. Ok..... Buttercup shrugs reluctanly.. Being domestically challenged in the creativity and crafty departments and yet wonders..... Does it have to be an ornament that hangs on the tree? And then should we stay away from the Christian themes or Santa Claus so we don't offend someones individual belief? I truly don't mean to sound so cotton pickin silly, but these questions have been weighing on my heart. What are the rules? Other than that I have something in mind it's more like a magnet! What do you think? If not... back to the drawing board with my broken pencil lead....

  11. That's quite alright I will just paste mine here !!!! I thought that maybe Unike was online and gonna start.. Perhaps she is and I just don't see it yet. Oh well. Good Morning Ya'll. This morning looks calm. Kids are just starting to yawn and come to life. I need to stumble to town to get a cup of ambition (mt. dew) but first I am gonna jump in the shower to get my blood pumping.. Then off to work by nine. Wish I was a coffee drinker. LOL. How's everyones winter preps coming? We still have soooo much to do and now it's the middle of September. So there's not much time left. Well I hope you have a great day. Unike be safe... And everyone else as well. By the way did I mention that I HATE DISHES LAUNDRY MOPPING VACCUMING DUSTING on and on and on and on... Although I do love to cook, I love to sew and quilt and spend time on here!

  14. The only thing I know for sure and for certain is that my "Grandpa James Patterson" and a couple of his sons moved to Moultrie County Illinois to a small town named Sullivan. His son David was well known in the community. I found all this online, I was very excited. This was indeed my line of ancestors. While my mom was alive we used to go to Sullivan to the cemetaries. We cannot find Grandpa J's grave as all the stones were piled in a corner and the ground was farmed over. I was thinking that we had found David(2), as well as Nancy Jane(3) and my Great grandparents Wesley and Belle. Every time I drive through Sullivan I think to myself "This is where they all lived and died" and it makes me very proud.
  15. Ok I got 8 done... Then I ran out of photo paper.
  16. Gee I don't remember the last time I got to go to wal-mart. As the nearest one is 20 miles away. I know that doesn't seem far. LOL printing them requires ink. For which I would have to go to wal-mart for. Sounds like I need to take a trip. Ok gonna go check the ink in my printer and see what I can come up with. Buttercup
  17. Are you kidding? I can't even find postcards out here in billyhill land... Yes, I am pouting... I would love to try this. But I made a promise to send postcards. And believe me I have looked.. What's this world coming to that you can't find postcards?
