Just Another Day On The Farm

2-6-09   Today it is pouring. Rain is expected for the next 2-3 days. The wind is blowing very hard, but it's not cold out to snow. I had to go out in the rain and it felt good, and of course I am soaked but I am not minding.   Knowing it was going to rain, I started chili yesterday and finished it up this morning. It is a great Chili day!   I am cleaning kitchen cupboards (again). After Christmas the kids came for two weeks and bless their hearts, they put everything in the wrong place

Good Evening Mrs S,....

Well this place is amazing! I love it. Gidgits and Gadgets and places to put informations. I love it! Did I say that already? Well I do. I love it. There, I said it again.   Today has been a run around day. Started way too early. Got free breakfast at Denny's. Good stuff Free. I have been trying to prove to my Dad that there is such a thing as a free lunch since I was in my 20's. He has always said "There is no such thing as a free lunch". Yeah well Pffft. I have had a lot of free breakfasts

I am so sick of everyone getting sick here!

Ok, so here is my moment to whine...   Back on June 10, my Monkey 3 came down with high fever, sore thrroat--Hand Foot & Mouth disease. Then when she was just well enough to go to VBS, Monkey2 caught the same virus! 3 days later, just as he was going off to the last 2 days of VBS, Monkey 1 came down with HF&M. So I was relieved when it SEEMED that everyone was done getting sick...that was 2 wks ago this coming Saturday...so on Monday June 22, Monkey 3 (my little Plague Vector) came

Happenings

Well a lot can happen in a short period of time to change a life completely.   Sometime tomorrow I will be getting a call to tell me when I can sign on the dotted line for a new home. My new home.   The house is a 3255 sf, 6 bedroom, 3.5 bath in Tartesso Buckeye Az. As the crow flies I am just minutes from a Nuclear power plant. figure if it goes,. I will go fast.   the back yard is big, with some raised beds already in, they just need to be supported by some bricks (Summer project)

SNOW!!! In Texas!

So we managed a record setting snowfall for the Metroplex the last 2 days. The nice thing is, all 8-10" of it should be GONE by Sunday! It gives the Monkeys a chance toplay in the snow, and I don't have to drive in it. The roads are already clear pavement.   Here are a couple pics to enjoy.     Two Monkeys (#2-3) and their tiny snow man.   And Monkey1 and her big snowman.

Realizations of Clutter and Life

Well, I've been dealing with clutter for a while now and it's a true dichotomy. As it gets better, it also seems to be getting worse.   I've reflected on the fact that when I was single, the problem was different - a more organized approach and one I only had myself to blame for.   When I got married, I could appreciate a mess because we were both working and there just wasn't enough hours in the day to do things.   Now that I've been home for a while, I seem to be the sole clutter c
