  1. Love the pictures! So pretty.
  2. @Necie I was watching your area too. Glad you are fine! I saw where south of Ft. Wayne had bad storms again. I always think of the Amish down there. @Becca_Anne I was thinking of you. Not that there were storms in your area but because of how you have your basement set up. My family is fine as far as I know. It's too late to call them. So far there was atleast one tornado that touched down there. Mostly in fields i think. Some damage in the little berg where D-ex is from. There were some pretty scary pictures but of course I can't link. It was from Fox59. "Tornado Observed in Rush County During Storms." Supposed to be volatile again tomorrow. Ryan Hall Y'all youtube channel is always on top of it. He stays live when there is tornado activity. I highly recommend him when there are storms across America. Stay safe everyone.
  3. On Ryan Hall Y'all, they are reporting storms over the county where a lot of my relatives live. Shelby. It is heading to my hometown county where most of my relatives live...Rush.
  4. I went shopping today. Meijers is having their 7 for 7 sale. Plus a lot of other deals. You have to get 7 items to get it for $7.00. But if you go over 7, then all the rest is $1.00. Some of the things are mix and match. I got 7 small bottles of orange, cranberry and a pina colada. Seven red, yellow and orange peppers and some other mix and match veggies. 10 boxes of the Craft mac and cheese (GS and his friends loves that stuff) and 7 packs of Knorr. They had some other mix and match sales too. I got three 8 pack bottles of Dr. Pepper for $12.00. They had Boston Market and Stoffers on sale for 4 for $10.00. I only got 4 of those. Finally, they had Boost nutrition drink on sale. I only drink one occasionally but they are good for me to have when I'm having an off day. If you buy 3 packs of any amount you got $5.00 off. I got 6. Whew. I made quite a haul. They also had asparagus back in stock. Not for $1.00 a pound but I was in the shopping mood and bought enough to make 4 more half pints to round it off to 40. I'll sleep better now. I exchanged my white potatoes for some yellow ones. I'm kind of surprised they took them back. I decided to can with yellow instead of white. Yukon Gold are no where to be found up here. Google said to 'go for the gold' so.... My final check from State Farm came today. They made it out to both the bank AND me. So now it has to be shipped out to California to be signed and sent back to me so I can deposit it. . I'll get that started tomorrow. I'm pooped.
  5. 19 tornadoes in 7 states last night. Barnsdall, OK. is devastated. More storms in the forecast. Hope everyone here is okay. . .
  6. My eardrum did heal by itself. Thank you God! The last check up showed a crease all the way down it that is probably a scar. I go back to the audiologist on July 23rd for a final look. My hearing is about the same. But no worse.
  7. Looks like another night of storms going through OK. Watching Ryan Hall Y'all.
  8. Forgot to add. Dr. showed me how to massage the eustachian tubes. Not as gross as it sounds. Just rub the side of your neck/throat area from the little hollow behind your ear (behind your earlobe) in a downward motion toward your collar bone. Either gently rub it use a tapping motion. What it is supposed to do is help drain extra fluid from your ear.
  9. My nasal spray was not a flood. Just two squirts up the nose. Actually more like puffs. Hold your head upright insert nozzle in your nose (not far) and either squeeze the bottle or press down on the plunger, depending which med you have. Nothing to it.
  10. @Becca_Anne Good news concerning getting the girls picture taken!
  11. @snapshotmiki So glad your husband is seeing improvement. I understand about not speaking too soon. I'm the same way. @Necie Hope your son is doing much better. @Mt_Rider. Necie is right. The doctor gave me nasal sprays for my burst eardrum. One was Flonase. I don't remember the other one. I THINK it started with an 'A'. Both OTC. They help to dry up the fluid in the inner ear. Ugh, Necie and I were typing at the same time. I just saw the x-ray. OUCH! That's going to set him back physically. Hope he learned something. But I know how that goes.
  12. My garage here is dark too. I want to get one of those lights that screws in to the bulb socket and has arms that light up. Can't think of the name of them and can't post a link. Anyway, I'm going to need the extra light out there when I start getting it cleared out. They are sort of expensive IMO but I can take it with me and put the regular bulb back in.
  13. That's right Becca-Anne. The biggest thing will be clearing out all of the weeds (over 2 feet tall thistles already filling the beds) and mulching. And some nice shrubs. I have large decorative areas around the house. Front of the house, a pensula and a walkway. There was also an island but I got rid of that years ago. And, of course, all of my neighbors yards are beautiful and professionally done. I'm only doing one side of the house. The good neighbors side. He is just going to put some hostas in there spaced out. I told him very low maintenance. A short row of shrubs along the front porch will also help detract from the very badly cracked front porch. I have to put my best foot forward in this neighborhood. I know the competition will be stiff.
  14. I don't get any birthday announcements anymore. I rely on you's guys to post them.
  15. I can't. He learns it from his mother. Unfortunately, he has my sense of humor. GS is funny too. I'm doomed.
