  1. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hold your hand in thankful prayer. Taste and see that the Lord is Good.
  2. I think more jars would be much better. You have been doing an amazing job with all of your canning.
  3. My page says threat has been detected - Malicious url. Not good!
  4. Philbe, those rolls look so good. That is a great idea to just do a few in a loaf pan.
  5. I bought some Pesto (Costco brand) and really liked it, but now I am afraid to use any more. It seems to be fermenting and forcing the oil up and out of the jar. We thought the container it was in, was leaking - re canted it, and still have a mess. What is the norm for this stuff? Surely NOT that.
  6. Rock on girlfriend! Indeed, we do think this is the best site on the web, come on in and sit awhile. Warning: it is hard to stay away after you have been here. Welcome!
  7. It won't be long until SHE can carry YOU up the stairs....what a great weight gain. It makes my heart sing to hear how well she is doing, and how much joy she brings to your home.
  8. We filled nine, five gallon, jugs with our drinking water today, and my friend thinks we are silly because it will get stale!!!!!! It will make the coffee taste funny she says. At least there will BE coffee, I think to myself. It was a busy Saturday for me. I made ahead, 14 lbs of hamburger into taco meat and meatballs, grilled two large packages of chicken breasts, bagged a package of pork chops, and (Philbe made hungry for) guacamoli.(?) All put away for some easy eating. Halloween treat bags for my bus kids are completed, and a baby gift was wrapped and taken to a shower this evening. I had to go into town about half an hour away to get the darn gift, because I forgot the shower was tonight, and then drive the same distance, the other way, for the baby shower. The pots, pans, dishes, wrap scrap, and leftover Halloween monsters, are waiting around til tomorrow, this momma is ready for bed. Dh told me to turn the bbq on high to burn off the chickens dregs, problem is he didn't tell me to turn it off afterwards! OOOOPPPPS! At least there was enough propane left to bbq a chop and potato for his supper.
  9. Not my jammies........Mine are "invisible" and at their age they don't make a pretty picture.
  10. My Kindle is flickering with new additions. Thank you kind Sir.
  11. Or you can stand and watch the milk heat to the correct temperature for yogurt, but miss the correct cooling temp. because you are tired of watching.
  12. Nah.............Not 24 hours to wrap MrMtRider around her perky little tail. More like she did to you ------ 24 SECONDS!!!!!!!!!! So happy all is well with you and the young one. What was the diagnosis on the sick pups and how many puppies did Dawn have? Can KOA fly in cabin with you, or does she have to go cargo?
  13. NOT HERE!!!!! It is terribly windy and cold, with snow. Pot roast is in the crock pot and I'm under a blanket. Dh will be cold when he comes in, he has been hauling grain in this nasty weather.
  14. Close, oh so close........I like your thinking!
  15. We take the roll out of toilet tissue and seal it up to have in our vehicle bags. It keeps wipes fresh and moist longer also. Small food packets for the vehicles are kept clean and dry this way. We use it too for dog food for the camper/van, and their travel bags, that stuff is so smelly. I just wish the rolls weren't so expensive, I'm thinking Costco has them on sale here this week though.
  16. I made Stephanie's dump cake as a special treat for our anniversary. Can't do that too often though because I would be in a world of hurt with all those SWEETS! If it is in the house I eat it! Talked yesterday about dh,s lack of portion control.............um........... Guilty too when it comes to goodies.
  17. YUMMY CHEESECAKE That was Darleen's friend T. I heard her tell another lady, also requesting the recipe, that Darleen has it. Perhaps Darleen will share. My friend makes them with a vanilla wafer on the bottom too. I could post that one if you like.
  18. Those boys will cut a wide swath around your house in the future. Extra treats for you Abby!
  19. Dh came home with a ham chub. It is food "savered" into eleven servings for us. Could have been more if HE would have better portion control!!!! We love that machine too.
  20. Hope they get this pinned down. He needs to feel well enough to write a book from his storehouse of knowledge. Indeed our prayers are for his continued good health.
  21. Back pain is terrible. Just rest up as you can, you'll be able to get all caught up on Mrs. S., I find that to be relaxing.
  22. I know all about it!!!! By the time I add more ingredients to my homemade taco seasoning (to catch up to the "toooooooo muchhhhhhhhh SALT" in the first try) I think I'll have a lifetime/quart size amount. Andrea had a great idea to rinse the beets and try again.
  23. Has anyone heard from Ma Steel? I was wondering how their trip home was, and how Ma's Dad is doing.
  24. Another neat book to check out is "The Complete Tightwad Gazzette" by Amy Dacyczyn (sounds like Decision). Some of it is pretty out there but use what you can and leave the rest.
