  1. Those ducklings are plenty big to be out with the other ducks and on the pond, but every time I open the gate and try to shoo them out, mayhem ensues! They feel SAFE in their pen! MONSTERS are out there! Silly things.
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xl2NC_G3aW8 These are great for hanging things like hammocks.
  3. Praying you continue to heal quickly.
  4. If the power is off we have no water. I'm sure not getting in that pond. You know what 50 geese and a couple dozen ducks do to a pond?
  5. Try dolomite to help with muscle pain. 1 tsp daily in juice. It has the right balance of calcium to magnesium.
  6. Well my hair wouldnt dry walking around outside in that heat since I always sweat it wet.
  7. That's great if they supply batteries! I might have to do the styrofoam too. It is so hot.
  8. Ann, you would still be grid tied. You would need to get a battery bank and keep that charged and have a good inverter if you want power when the grid is down.
  9. I don't think I could do a garden here without power to run the well pump. Can't even keep a green belt around the house without tons of water in triple digit heat with no rain. Our power went off without a storm the other day. Well above 100 when it went out. Thankfully my room was still habitable when it came back after 1 1/2 hrs. Wouldn't have been much longer and I do not tolerate having no fan. I must have the air moving. I went and sat under a tree outside. It happened around 6pm. Earlier in the day, I couldn't have sat outside and the room would have heated up much faster.
  10. It can be a long road, but sometimes doing nothing is best. Been walking that road a long time, myself, presently in remission from lymphoma again. Just have to take each day as it comes. Congrats on the Grand Baby!
  11. That is the way it works! The pain and stiffness just go away with no side effects.
  12. :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
  13. That is rather high, Ann. No, I don't watch TV. Getting a piglet in a couple of weeks.
  14. Price of feed has gone sky high. I'm paying 3 times what I was less than 5 yrs ago.
  15. I think you'll all be happy with the results! Several of my friends started taking it and they cannot believe how much better they feel.
  16. You can put it in caps, but it has no taste. You can also just stir it into a glass of water and drink it. All salts are not the same. You want to be careful of NaCl if you are watching "salt" intake. It is sodium salts that can cause water retention. There are many other salts that aren't sodium, such as KCl, potassium chloride, or potassium salt.
  17. Loveinit, about 3 to 4 weeks and I was no longer in pain. I've been taking it for 3 yrs now. After about 6 months I dropped to once or twice a week unless I start having pain in my hands and then 2 or 3 doses will take care of it. Violet, borax is the mineral boron. You probably have it in your vitamins, but in lower amounts than is needed to relieve arthritis. I've had no side effects whatsoever in the 3 yrs. When I took Rx meds they only helped a little with the pain and the side effects were terrible.
  18. Just the 20 mule team from the grocery detergent aisle. It is pure mineral. Nothing added. I just put it on my tongue and drink a glass of water.
  19. Since I've been taking 1/8 tsp of borax daily, my arthritis has gone away. I was looking at needing knee replacements. Now I don't need them. I'm 61 BTW.
  20. Few people can concentrate like she does. Did you look at her eyes while she was doing it? She was totally in another place.
  21. I had a golden retriever once that jumped all over everybody, except when daughter's birth mom brought her barely walking one yr old to visit. That dog got down and crawled on her belly after the baby so she wouldn't hurt the baby. Only dog I ever had that did that though.
