Morning all, I was so not ready to get up this morning, I was so sleepy when I first posted this morning, that I posted a daily diary entry under the sunporch, called Good morning, this morning, pretty morning this morning... I can't type worth a crap with my eyes shut..

Just goes to show how "UNREADY" I was to get up this morning. I thought I was posting the "GOOD MORNING THIS MORNING, PRETTY MORNING THIS MORNING" in the Daily Diary....

GETTING RID OF COCKROACHES: Take 4 tablespoons of borax, 2 tablespoons flour, and 1 tablespoon cocoa powder. set out in open containers, in kitchen cabinets, under stove, refrigerator etc. away from small children and pets. Leave it out until the roach infestation is no longer a problem. The flour and cocoa powder will lose appeal the longer it sets out. Change it every 2 to 3 weeks.

Mrsbigredog, what part of tennessee are you from. I am from cleveland, Tennessee, about 30 minutes from Chattanooga.

Hey mayfields, not only has the peppermint flavored ice cream. now they have snow cream.. It tastes exactly old timey snow cream. you have got to try it.....

With you being from Chattanooga, then you know what a great guy Bearman was. He won top morning show awards for 9 years in a row, he gave to many charities. He was just a really great person who touched the hearts of many, many people. Wusy-101 paid tribute to him today, with all the listeners calling in dedicating songs to him. They were all having a tough time speakings, especially his coworkers....

I, in no way believe that halloween is satanic. I believe it is a beautiful time that needs to be honored. Like Mare said, it signifies the end of Harvest, and the beginning of a whole new season. The reason I said anything about it being satanic, is because I know many people who truly believe that it is. But, I am not one of those people. Believe me we celebrate halloween full fledged around here. We spend time as a family outside, enjoying the crisp fall air, we meet many new people,sometimes we come upon old friend that we had lost touch with over the years. We spend a whole evening as a family, having fun.

Love Halloween, we do not look at it as a satanic holiday, we use it as a family fun time, with only fun costumes ( no blood or gore, plus it is one time of year, that I really get some heavy duty walking in.) Time to start thinking of the Thanksgiving meal plans. I love to watch the leaves turn on the trees, love all the pumpkin patches heavily laden with pumpkins. All the schools fall activities, And we get to turn off the dang ole air conditioner

Yeah 6.50 an hour doesn't sound like much, but just think, the savings you have in gas money to and from work, no child care expenses. So 6.50 an hour is something to crow about. Well it is wet and dreary here today, supposed to rain, got everyone off to school and work. While listening to the morning news this morning, I heard that a friend of mine and many many people passed away over night. He is a radio personality for the Chattanooga area. He had just left the wusy-101 to go to a Nashville station, which in itself was upsetting enough. The day isn't the same, not getting to hear bearman....Over the past year he had had a bout with colon cancer,went through the surgery, and everything was progressing nicely. Then overnight he passed away. When I used to do the night club scene, before I got married and had kids, this radio personality used to frequent this one night club, that you would find me and my buddies at every saturday night. We always lined dance with this man. He is going to be truly missed. IT is a very sad day in the Tennessee valley today. We love you David "Bearman" Hughes...

Thank God for some good news this morning, I really needed it. Woke up this morning and was getting the kids ready for school, listening to morning news as always. A very popular and well liked Radio personality in our area died overnight. This has really upset me. Back in my younger days, before I became a responsible parent and was a partying single, I used to go to this very popular night club in our area. and David "Bearman"Hughes was a regular there. My friends and I used to line dance with this radio deejay. He always had the best radio show, he will be greatly missed.

For a really bad cold with sore throat and congestion, I drink a lot of hot drinks, especially teas and hot lemonade... and I use a nasal spray, and ibuprofen for pain or fever. The warmth from the drinks is very soothing....

Ok, I came across another really delicious ice cream this week. It is called Colorado River Rapids. It is vanilla ice cream with chocolate hazelnut swirl and cashew crunch....oooooooh so good!!!!!

It better be for me I have been at it for 10 years now.

Pizzaria Pizza baker, some people have given this a bad review. But I purchased one and Just absolutely love it. It saves time on cooking pizzas, you do not have to heat up the big oven. I have never seen a frozen pizza that could smell as good as if it was just out of a pizzaria... absolutely fabulous for homemade pizzas. You have to get used to using it,and a secret that I have learned, do not use meats that are heavy in fat, and use low fat cheeses. Or you pizza could come out soggy in the middle...but delicious. Can also be used to do things such as biscuits...

Woke up this morning, it is wet and dreary. We had some really heavy rains over night.We just finished breakfast and read the sunday papers. So now it is time to clean up the kitchen and get sunday dinner on to cook, I have got to run to the store sometime today, but am in no mood to do so. I just want to curl up and read a good book, and nap all day. That is what I am in the mood for. Well hope everyone has a pleasant and restful day. Take care.

I love the Ponderosa, but we no longer have one in this area.. I wish it would come back

My favorite way to escape troubles and upsets and or too just plain old relax. Is put lit candles all over the bathroom, have a nice scented, hot bubble bath and a very good book. And a good strong LOCKED DOOR!!!!!

I recently purchased a bedding set by the Dan Rivers corporation, When I got it home, I took it out of its package(it was fine), then I stuck it in the sheets in the washer, to get that new smell out of them. When I took them out of the washer, the corners on the fitted sheet had completely unraveled. I emailed the company and told them the problem. One week later I had a brand new replacement set in the mail, they did not ask for me to mail back the damaged one either. Recently I had a problem with ants in some Kelloggs poptarts that I had purchased. I emailed the company a couple of days later I had an apology and coupons for free boxes of Pop tarts. So don't be afraid to email these big companies about damaged goods, they usually are more than willing to make something good, as long as they do not loose you as a customer.....

Well I guess along with more chairs, we will need more tables to put all this food and drinks,who feels like constructing. I will bake up some pies and cookies, and make some more tea. Since we have so many new mouths to feed, I guess I need to get to baking. Welcome all.......
