Having a lazy sunday morning, Read the chattanooga free press and the cleveland banner, cooked breakfast, and have been watching classic episodes of the Beverly Hillbillies. Think I will get off my booty now and finish the laundry, that I couldn;'t get done yesterday for all the company, and excitement. We had kids from the sleepover who ended up staying until 4 pm yesterday evening. Then MIL and FIL stopped by for a couple of hours, we sat around waiting for the phone to ring, My dh cousin went into labor yesterday morning at 2 am. She had a 7 lb, 7oz baby girl, name Lillian Elizabeth (will call her Lilly) at 1;30 pm yesterday. We were getting blow by blow phone call relays of the birth... We could not get away long enough to make the 2 1/2 hour drive to Murfreesboro for the birth. Supposed to rainy and stormy today....Hope all have a nice safe day. Take care.

Hi there and welcome, believe me this site becomes very addictive. There are a lot of really great people here. I believe you will enjoy it. We learn alot from each other, we teach each other new things, and we do have some good clean fun from time to time in here. That is the good thing about this site, you are assured that it is a nice, place to call home. There is no profanity, no pornography, and no weirdos. Just clean, down home, hardworking christian people.....

ooooh cat, I am jealous, all those fresh apples. I love to can them in slices,for pies or just for fried apples. Can't wait for the apple orchard to get going here this fall.....

Well so much for all of my housecleaning last week. My house now looks like a bomb has gone off, what with 5 boys running around....my oldest ds had a sleep over and ended up with an unexpected guests, the boy just came on his on accord, but that's ok, I reckon, the poor child never gets to do anything special, so it was something fun for him. They chowed down on 4 large pizzas, 3 bottles of cola, 2 large pots of buttered popcorn. Then got up and ate a big breakfast of waffles, bacon, sausage, fried eggs, and blackberry muffins.Hopefully by now they are full.

I couldn't have begged my dh to cart me off to bed, he was with his mistress last night. (THE CAR RACES).......

This is a great idea, I am going to try it....

Actually, myself, momo, darlene, homey, and joan were all there, and no one else showed up (several having computer problems) and some of us had things that had to be taken care of. So we all signed off... Maybe we can get it all together again soon and try it again...

Oh my, I graduated from Ooltewah High school (hooterville) as we used to call it. My best friend and his family live there now. And yes, Cleveland is growing by leaps and bounds. We just recently got a new walmart on the south end, right behind the bilo on dalton pike. The Town is beginning to remind us of Gainesville Florida, because of its growth....

With my two smallest boys, as long as I have ranch dressing and ketchup, they will just about anything. But that is a great idea with the chicken pattie pizza, who would have thought>>...

I know if the weather gets bad I am prepared food wise, what with all my canned goods, and my buckets full of beans,peas,rice and noodles, flours, and sugars etc.... I also make sure I have plenty of antihistamines, decongestants, throat lozenges, pain reliever/fever reducers, first aid supplies, stomach aids. But also, rolls of plastic, duct tape, candles, oil for lamps, wicks, burners for lamps. Plenty of propane for camp stove, and have my propane cylinders filled for my back up heat....plenty of dog food, and cat food. Also make sure the gas tank on your car is full.... I keep plenty of dry cereals on hand, since you can also eat them as a snack, cereal bars, poptarts... I also store up juice boxes for the kids (juice, hersheys chocolate milk, sports drinks)they will keep a long time in these boxes.....OH, AND YES, PLENTY OF HOT COCOA MIX, AND COFFEE.....(I also have a stove top coffee pot for the camp stove)...plenty of water.....

We had very busy evening, had school open house to go to. Stayed longer speaking with teachers than we had planned. I have to get busy this morning. Oldest son is having a sleep over tonight, his best friend is coming home with us tonight, and will be here until Saturday afternoon. His mom has a wedding to go to and he wanted to stay with us instead of going out of town. So I am going to the grocery store first thing this morning, then coming home and straightening up. Hope everyone has a good and safe day, don't work to hard....

our state just got the lottery back in March. Dear auntie, lives on a fixed income (she only draws about $600 a month), she is going through a divorce, and is living in a little run down 1 bedroom apartment. So she can't spend much on the scratch offs, She spends $20 a month on these (take in mind this is the only excitement she has ,other than coming to my house to play bingo). Just so happens it was her night. So now we are going to help her find her a nice lot, and a good used mobile home to put on it. My husband done told her he would get it hooked up for her, so she will not have to spend anything on that. Then she will be set,she will not have to worry about her monthly rent. All the poor lady has in this world is me and my dh and our kids, her niece and her dh, then her 2 dogs and 2 cats. She has had a very rough life.

Well, as most of you know, Wednesday night in my house is BINGO game night. We had a very exciting evening. We could barely keep our mind on our games. My and dh's bingo partner (his aunt) had some very exciting news and we are still reeling. She loves playing the scratch off games from the lottery. Several family members has put her down about it saying she had a gambling problem. Well this morning, every family member who has said anything bad about her hobbie, is sitting with their mouths wide open in disbelief. She scratched one off and won $35,000.00. Can you believe that... and believe me she really needs it. What a night..... :clap

I just made 8 dozen peanut butter cookies, I put two dozen in the freezer, and plan on making at least 4 dozen a day over the next few days. Just to get some treats stocked. Plus it will be handy for lunch boxes for school. I have made the pumpkin pies and pecan pies and freeze them, but was just wondering about the pudding pies and meringues. If they would hold up or end up watery......

if so, give me some tips. Especially pies, do you freeze pies that have meringues or not.... I need input, input input..... I want to get a head start on some winter baking...I do alot of baking during school for parties and such. So want to get a head start

It has been over a year, since I have actually had the energy or just plain felt like doing housework like this. I was only doing the absolute have too's. you know keeping a trail clean, to get through. And I figured it was time to teach the boys about chores and keeping their room clean without depending on mommy. They had gotten into the habit of taking off their clothes and just dropping them, leaving snack wrappers and cola cans, just laying whereever they took a notion to put them. It was driving me crazy and running me ragged. So now that their room is clean, I am driving them crazy about keeping it picked up. I am making them pick up all their toys and games,before they go to bed and I am making them vaccum the carpet before bedtime. They are tired of hearing me, so now they are doing it without having to tell them. They are 7 and 10.

Hey, I am fixing to take 2 homemade pumpkin pies out of the oven.. So pull up a chair, and get a fork. We will be eating good.....

Good morning everyone, I hope everyone has a good day. I believe I may have a lazy one today. Since I finished all of my fall cleaning yesterday (still have to clean carpets), the house is absolutely spotless, I picked up what little bit was laid out last night, and I have one very small load of laundry to throw in the washer. Other than that I am through....I guess I will get in the kitchen and cook up something really good for bingo tonight, since I have plenty of time on my hands today....Hey, I might even take a nap, who knows what the day holds.....Wheehee
