  2. Oh no! LOL. Now all I can think about is your new nickname PEE DEE.
  3. BUTTER PECAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !! Too bad I haven't had it in 2 years. Too bad they don't make a lo carb ice cream without sugar.
  4. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, meatloaf. Send me some for a sandwich DebbieLee. We had Stuffed pork tenderloin Green beans Fried squash (for DH) Raw veggie strips with ranch dressing Mashed potatoes for DH A piece of the neighbors b-day cake for DH
  5. BBQ'd on the grill pork chops (from our own pigs) Baked beans for DH steamed garden fresh asparagus fried cabbage applesauce biscuits for DH
  6. Slice it and make a great sandwich. One of my favorites!
  7. Out of my North side kitchen window I see my lovely pond with 2 beautiful weeping willow trees. The one that was stocked with fish last year who have since become deceased. We have some kind of "meal" growth that can only be killed by a VERY expensive chemical that DH is putting off purchasing due to it's high cost. DH needs to get this chemical and then clean it out and get it ready for fish again. Out of my South window I see a beautiful pasture with a miniature goat and a halflinger pony romping around. They are so cute. If I look closer I can see the new fence line that DH is working on. At the rate of a few posts a day it will be a while before it's done. I also see my minvan parked out in the open because the garage and barn are both full of other projects. Out of my South window I can see the lake and a few bass boats out fishing. It's a beautiful day and there are a few tournaments going on this weekend. I also see the blooming wisteria tree we planted last year. I'm still trying to decide if we should get an above ground pool on this side of the property. Out of my front window is the lane. I watch the neighbors drive in and out on their errands. This is my least favorite view! Especially due to one family who must go up and down the street 20 times a day. Since we live so far from town I don't know where they can be going unless it's to the bait store to buy a drink every time they are thirsty. Oh well, 3 out of 4 views are still pretty darn good.
  8. Cute. Some of them sound just like something Princess would say.
  9. I'm sure they were DebbieLee's custom made no carbs, no sugar, no fat chocolates. Right Deb?
  10. potato cheese pieroggies in sauteed onions for DH polish sausage for both of us tomato salad for both blueberry crisp
  11. I started out the way I thought but by the time I was 20 it had all flown out the window! It has been alot like Mr. Toad's wild ride at Disney World . I've done the best I can and have few, if any , regrets. I just remembered that scene in Peggy Sue Got Married where she's back in high school and tellsher Algebra teacher that she happens to know that she'll never use Algebra in her life. How funny! The things we studied and prepared for that never showed up. Conversely, the things that never ocurred to us that actually happened.
  12. COMP USA Don't forget about rebates. If they don't show up call and check it out. I had a 200$ rebate due on my puter and it never showed up. I checked it out online and it had been rejected by the people who process CompUsa's rebates for being purchased on the wrong day. I guess the people had read the shipping date instead of the day it was purchased and denied my refund. Instead of dealing with these morons again.,(They actually said on their webpage that they don't answer e-mails) I just called CompUsa directly and the lady took care of it right then. I wouldn't have bothered for a little rebate but for 200$ It was worth the time it took me on the phone. (Their 800 number) Just a little tip. When I expect anything in the mail I mark that day on my calender to remind me to look for it. For example if a rebate says 10-12 weeks I write it down on the date 12 weeks from the date of sending. If I order something and they say a week` I'll jot it down too. We all get busy and it's easy for stuff to slip your mind.
  13. Hi ya'll Snow and Dee if I make enough in tips I will be up there for the meeting. Don't save my seat yet though since the regular waitress usually makes about 50$ tips for Friday breakfast. Of course, I will have to split the proceeds with DH assuming there are any. He's gonna be the food bringer and busboy. I'm gonna take the orders and do all the money stuff. Fortunately her dishwasher will be there to do the dishes. I forgot that she opens at 5 am. I normally wake up about 8 am now so I will have to go to bed a bit early tonight. Mary why did you remind me that I should have done my laundry? I got so busy today that I forgot about it. DebbieLee I have a beautiful canner that's on display in my basement. It's in it's original lovely box, unopened! Nearby I have some lovely vintage bicentennial canning jars in their original box too. Guess I've been meaning to get around to it for quite a while! Have a great evening and think of me hard at work slinging hash in the am.
  14. What????????????????What????????????What?????
  15. Don't give up!!! Even if you've looked up a name before keep trying periodically. Especially on bulletin boards! Data is being added on a daily basis.
  16. Look at that..Cat and I posted at the exact same time!!!
  17. Pot roast with mushroom/onion gravy Mashed potatoes for DH Roasted carrots, parsnips, onions etc 3 Bean salad DH will have the last slice of the pineapple upside down cake I made for Easter
  18. Beautiful here too! It's supposed to rain tomorrow which is good news for all the new gardens. Dee, I lived in Huntsville for 20 years until we built " DH'S retirement farmette" out here at the lake. DS still lives in Huntsville. It only takes us about 35-40 minutes to get to his place. DH has been hinting around about getting a riding mower for the yard instead of using the tractor and bush hog. I know what that leads to so I am not encouraging him. Momo's big fat a** does not need to be bouncing around our acreage on a riding mower! ( I cannot get up on the tractor so I can't cut grass) Snow sounds like you're healing up some. Who knows you might be posting high miles again soon. I'm gonna be a temporary waitress on Friday. My friend owns a B&B. All of her help and backup help have other important things to do. Rather than seeing her close on one of her best days DH and I volunteered. It could be very amusing! Who knows we might make so much money in tips that we can take a trip or something! LOL!
  19. It's so nice to have a good surprise! Seems like so many surprises are bad news.
  20. Hang on you'll be "purr"fect again in no time!
  21. Well we've changed our traditions since our little chick has left the nest. We have to work out things with our "new relatives" now. This year was pretty small and simple. For the first time DIL made the main meal. I enjoyed only bringing a dessert! The best part was that my kitchen didn't get dirty this time. We had Spiral honey ham Fruit salad Green Beans Corn on the cob Mashed potatoes Cornbread Strawberry Pie (DIL's Mom made this) Pineapple upside down cake (I made) The kids were angels and it was beautiful outside so we got to swim and play ball after dinner.
  22. I'll have to try that on my kitty. Maybe it will make him behave better without all the extra hair!
  23. Glad to hear Mare's feeling better. We're waiting for her to get back to work here at MrsS!
  24. Today DH and I took an acquaintance to the ER. He passed out at the local bait store and the owner called and asked us to help him. We took him to the nearest ER (20 miles away) and stayed there until he was released since his parents weren't home. ( I called them continually the whole time while I was waiting) Anyway, after 3 hours at the ER he was released and his parents still weren't home so we took him home. Another 15 miles further out from our home. When we dropped him off he never said thanks or offered us any gas money or anything. (Which of course we wouldn't have accepted but he didn't know that) I began to wonder if we had been suckers or what? We basically spent the whole day and nearly 100 miles of driving for someone who didn't seem to appreciate it at all. I guess I would do it again but instead of feeling good about helping someone in need I feel kind of used. I also know that he will definitely not advance from acquaintance to friend after this little episode.
  25. Thanks Snowy, Cappy and LLama for your input. I'm gonna look at those (Paf and FTM)programs again and make a few entries and see which one I can do easier with my VERY limited puter technical expertise!
