  1. I'll hang around for a bit but I can't stay real long. We're over at Circle of friends (MM's site)
  2. Thanks Lois. Just printed this off. I've still got some Y2K stuff in the basement that I was gonna throw out. Guess I'll check the codes first.
  3. How neat! Sometimes those "doors" you mentioned just open wide. Other times you wonder if they'll ever open.
  4. I ordered from them once. They have big specials as an introduction to their products. I got my order with no problems but I preferred my regular herb/vitamin supplier's selection and prices.
  5. I'm so happy for you BeccaAnne. As long as your DH is willing to try there is still hope!!
  6. I've been surfing for quite a few years and I'm still careful experimenting. I know if I screw it up bad enuf I'll have to get DS to fix it and that's embarassing!

    Newbie

Welcome Kelly. Rolllllllllllll Tide! or should I say Warrrrrrr Eagle!
  8. I got 19. correct, but I don't wear glasses like the scoring explanation says. I'm in my forties but I guess I'm older than I thought. LOL BTW my 1971 Chevelle has the high beam button on the floor to the left of the brake pedal. I remember the first time the ones on the turn signal lever came out. People were complaining about those cheap foreign cars and their goofy turn signals. Now I think all of them are there.
  9. But I have a good reason. DIL's biopsy results came back in and we had a family celebration. She does have a tumor but it's not cancerous. They are going to leave it alone but keep an eye on it. Good news!! Hope to catch up with you next week.
  10. Glad you found a good movie Dee. I haven't rented many lately. It seems like only about 1 out of every 5 we rent is worth the money. Chilly here but nothing to complain about. Not after seeing all the snow up north. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr
  11. Poor Snow. I think about you every time the new oreo commercial comes on . I'm so dizzy!

    *pout*

I think the forum may be buried under a few feet of snow. Get digging folks.
  13. Glad to hear some good news!
  14. I 've noticed several new members lately. Come on in and introduce yourselves. Since it's so cold we'll try to have some hot chocolate in here to go with all the goodies. Come on in...the weathers fine in our sunporch.
  15. So far it is a non-event around here. Little mention on local news. No lists of prep items in the newspaper yet. I was at beauty school today getting a trim and nobody was even talking about it. I'm sure we are not a likely target area but any kind of attack will affect everyone in some way. I told DH that maybe they should predict snow tomorrow. Then at least people would stock up on milk, bread and beer.
  16. Suzzee and Snowmom are such sweeties!!! We must have giggled off a thousand calories. A nice break from all the gloom and doom in the news lately.
  17. This reminded me of when I was little. We lived in Florida when the Cuban missile crisis was going on. We had to practice getting under our desks(in school) and each one of us had a rolled up blanket with a few cans of food and a water bottle inside. None of us asked teachers or parents what was going on. Just did what we were told. Not saying this was good or bad..just thinking about how some things change alot and some things never change. Scary times indeed.
  18. How concerned are you about the latest threats? I must admit I still have alot of my Y2K stuff still in my basement so I thought that I wouldn't feel the urgency that many others might. The surprise was on me though. I happened to be in Lowe's today for some hardware supplies and expected the store to be crowded with last minute preppers. But it was just like a regular Tuesday morning. Is it like this everywhere? Maybe it's because our local papers haven't even mentioned prepping yet. In fact, tonight was the first time any TV stations even mentioned having a 3 day supply of food and water. I sure hope this is a false alarm but if it isn't ,I am worried about how many are ignoring the warnings.

    Hello again

Hi Paige. I'm the "youngest" grownup here. NOT. We used to have a few teenage posters here before. Maybe your kind invitation will coax them back out!
  20. Poor Snow. Hope you feel better soon. I have a mental picture of that new oreo cookie commercial where the little old lady gets dizzy twisting her cookie from side to side and then falling off her chair. Are you that dizzy? Hope Di & Dee warm up some. Glad to hear LLama will be curling up to some hot choc. soon. Are you any better yet Becca Anne? Is Cat cooled down yet? It's 48 degrees here. A little nippy but clear and pretty.
  21. Ya'll have made me tired just thinking about all the chores to be done around here. I think I'll go put my feet up and have a diet pepsi instead!!
  22. DH and I went down to the basement yesterday to check on our pantry. Rearranged everything, checked dates, noticed what we were short on. Funny how we sometimes forget some of the stuff we buy. I had about 20 boxes of mac and cheese I forgot about. Bought them on sale, tucked them away and since I'm on lo carbs I forgot about them. I guess DH will be having them alot in the near future!
  23. I actually cooked tonight. Fixed DH creamed tuna on toast. I had a grilled hamburger w/o bun. We both had asparagus steamed and salad with homemade blue cheese dressing. He had some leftover apple cobbler too. I can't wait till next week when we get our piggies back (ready to eat)
  24. Don't forget.. chat tomorrow..I plan to be there. Will it still be at Circle of Friends?
