  1. You all have been busy! That is a great haul, Annarchy! And your neighborhood certainly has the drama going on! Good luck getting those bags down the stairs, Jeepers! I would suggest double bagging them, but don't know if that is feasible. I hope all goes well for your grandson, Little sister. I'm just tired. Up early and walked, this morning. Went to a small Birthday party at 9 this morning for the fellow that I used to help, who owns a little convenience store. Came home and walked dogs. Unloaded the big cans in the back of car. Did month ending books for ebay. Still haven't changed DH's shower curtain. Maybe today
  2. Yesterday was a busy day. Monthly stock up at stores with my friend. Everything I bought was so heavy! Paid bills. Walked. Bible study. It's raining, this morning. Will walk later. Walk dogs. Change DH's shower curtain. A friend was given about 10 or so #10 cans of veggies that recently went out of date (best by date). I am getting them to re-can in pints at a later time. Best by dates don't scare me. Clean baths- maybe. Dust house- yes. Slice carrots for dog treats. You all, try to get a little rest!
  3. You're welcomed! Lessons learned should be shared!
  4. Wow! That sounds very unsafe to me and I color outside the lines pretty often. Won't be doing that @Necie!
  5. @Littlesister, We just changed home insurance companies, looking for more insurance than we had. We went to Progressive and found more insurance for the same money. Great! Paid them and then a few days later cancelled old insurance as per new company's instructions. A week later, a fellow from the actual new insurance company shows up to take photos. He says that if the new company decided not to insure us, we would have 45 days to find another company. Yikes! We thought that when we paid, it was a done deal. This week we received a letter letting us know we have insurance. Actually, a bill for $50 more as they will pay more for our concrete block shed, than they were going to, previously. So, beware before cancelling old insurance, no matter what you are told!
  6. That is so crazy, Jeepers. And sleezy! I'm sorry that you are dealing with it and will be so glad when your house is sold and you are moved! I hope you are warming up a little today, Mt. Rider! That cold is for the birds. No, some of them go South! Going to walk, shortly. Pay bills. Walk dogs. Clean baths and dust. Pick up friend and go to Lenten lunch at Methodist Church. Give myself a pedicure tonight. We will have a little cooler weather for a couple of days. Supposed to be 70 today, was 81, yesterday.
  7. I posted earlier this morning and it is not there, either. Huh
  8. I've already walked. I made such a large amount of Sweet Potato Split Pea Soup, that I will have to transfer it to a stock pot to get it cooked by dinner time. I like a lot more veggies than called for. LOL It's easy to do when using the food processor to slice and chop. Next will go pick up trash from parade last Saturday that went by Church. Walk dogs. Will re-package some shredded cheese I bought yesterday into smaller packs. Bible study this evening!
  9. I'm going to look for turnips and rutebegas to can!
  10. Praying for a safe and enjoyable trip home @Becca_Anne! And a seamless integration! I'm praying for heat for you @Mt_Rider, for now and in the future! I already walked. Will be taking my friend to get her glasses at Walmart and then shop. Have to stop at veterinarian to pick up Oreo's meds. Maybe Aldi. Dollar General. A thrift shop to look at a couch. Then the Methodist Church for Lenten lunch. These town days just wear me out!
  11. Congratulations on your job @mommato3boys! I'm excited for you and hope you enjoy it!
  12. Walked at dawn this morning. Took DH to new Neuro doc at 8 am. He will be getting an mri of head and bloodwork sometime this month. Stopped at thrift stores looking for a new to us couch- nothing today. Went to Post office to follow up on an undelivered package on ebay. Will walk dogs in a few minutes. May go pick up trash from Saturday's mardi gras parade near the Church. Not sure if I mentioned, but we have family coming March 19th from IL. We are getting excited!
  13. Walked fairly early. Set up DH's pills for the month. Did 2 loads of laundry. Called and set appt. with accountant. Still need to spray weeds at bottom of back porch. Vacuum out cars. I'm glad I am more than halfway done already!
  14. I will take our 73 degrees today plus humidity over your cold and snow, anytime @Mt_Rider! I'd never get anything done around here. I'll walk first. Make copies of some papers for taxes. Fertilize roses and fig tree that I finally pruned, yesterday. Clean in pantry as there was a mouse, who has left the premises. Make Crazy Crust pizza. You all have a good weekend with some rest for all!
  15. It's supposed to get up to 75 degrees here, today! Yay! Congratulations @mommato3boys! You'll be busy making up those meals. I'm glad that your GS is moving ahead with the military @Littlesister! That will be a relief when he goes in. That sure sounds correct @Jeepers, about getting cash back to banks. Sad! Walked first. Going out to prune the roses as I keep putting it off, so doing it today. Walk dogs after. That's it. Easy day!
  16. Will walk in a few minutes. Taking DH to audiologist in a while. Then to salvage grocery on the way home. Rest a little and then Bible study tonight. Having the last of my Tortilla Soup (that isn't frozen) for dinner.
  17. He can't use his card. Tremors are so bad he can't put numbers in. He thinks he hasn't used it in a year or more. I don't know.
  18. Thanks for the update @Midnightmom! I'm glad you are well! Someone tried to use DH's bank card for $1.56 on Amazon. I caught it within 1 day so they are sending him a new card. Weird thing is that he hasn't used that card for 6 months to a year, if he has ever used it @Littlesister. Wonder how they got the number. And he has never ordered anything on Amazon. I used to deal with farm eggs at the dairy when I was making cheesecakes for them. Definitely, one egg at a time @Mt_Rider! Only had bad ones a few times, thank goodness! Already walked. It was chilly! Taking my friend who doesn't drive, to an eye appt at Walmart doc. Then to Aldi's and home. Fellows are supposed to work on re-plumbing under house today. Maybe I will get to work on the roses today.
  19. That's crazy weather to me @Mt_Rider! I can't imagine staying in that cold of an area! Is @Midnightmom around? Flooded out? I hope you are safe! Fairly easy day! Up to 66 degrees and sunny. Already walked. Have tortilla soup in the crock pot. Still have to walk dogs and then I hope to prune the roses. Maybe make a couple of phone calls.
  20. I hope that your chin heals up soon @euphrasyne! @Littlesister, if we have 20 at Church, it is a good day! Yesterday was Church and no laptop. Walked dogs and did laundry as plumber was coming today to re-plumb under house. Texted yesterday evening that he won't be here until Friday, so laundry is done early. Walked this morning. Ran to Post office and hardware store-mouse poison. Cleaned bathrooms and dusted house. Done for the day, mostly. I'm tired. I think it's the weather. I don't care for cooler weather!
  21. You stay busy, too @Littlesister! How are you feeling today @euphrasyne? Please update when you can. I walked early to avoid the rain. Never got the muffins made yesterday, so today it is. Cut up carrots for dogs. Write my friend in the military. Goof off with all my spare time today!
  22. I've just been too busy the last few days! Kind of back now. lready walked. Going with DH to buy him some socks and will stop at the bank. Make muffins when I come home and take down comforters that have been hanging outside for a few days. Maybe walk dogs. We did get better homeowner's insurance. One thing accomplished!
  23. Happy Belated Birthday, Cat! Hope it was a nice day!
  24. Happy Belated Birthday, Kappy! I hope you had a relaxing day!
  25. Walked early Signed papers for new homeowners insurance policy Aldi Thrift stores. Came home and walked dogs. Resting now. You all are too busy!
