    We were out of town for TG & had our mail held. They FINALLY delivered it today... instead of yesterday (our PO here is... just *sigh*). I got Trudy's, Pauline's & dogmom's LOVELY!!

    Dry Skin

    When we lived in Wyo, we found the backs of our hands became so sore, dry, flaky, itchy to the point of bleeding! I also got really dry feet. The ONLY thing that worked was the Say Yes to Carrots Body Butter. It's spendy, but it will save a lot of blood & tears. Now we use it, because even in the South, we're experiencing this, though not AS bad as there. This year, we started early & it has PREVENTED all of the above.

    Today I was able to do 5 qts of bacon (though one didn't seal), 6 pints beef stock & I have 11 pints of applesauce in now.

    We all love the Dr. Didn't watch it as we don't have cable, but we are patiently (or not) waiting for it on Netflix I'm the only one in the house that grew up on Classic Dr Who & LOVES it. I only have 1 kid that I've been able to get into the classic. No one else likes it. Goobers.

    Yesterday: Apple butter: 22 half pints, 3 pints, 1 4oz jar Apple "cider": 4 24oz, 1 pint Beef stew- 6qts Today: Bacon (NOT APPROVED!!! for the record)- 6qts whole slices & I'm cooking some up to make smaller jars of bacon bits Making applesauce or butter, not sure which, & depending on the time frame, maybe some berry butter or jam &/or cranberry something. Not sure yet, LOL. All I know is it feels GREAT to be canning again!

    Oh my gosh!!! For some reason, I thought they were to be shipped a week before TG, but I just realized they were supposed to be shipped by the 15th. I am soooooooo sorry mine were out so late, Snowmom. I thought they were only a day late :/

    Sent mine yesterday. I was supposed to pick up my co-op order on Thu, but there were SOOOOO many issues with it that the time changed half a doz times, so I cancelled it. We were out of some things, & I needed them "yesterday". So I had to spend Thu grocery shopping IN Knoxville & was SO pooped by the time that was done that I completely forgot.
