  1. Hey! I was just about to put the thing about them changing their names to join SAG. So much useless information such a small brain.
  2. Had a few sprinkles as I was trying to weed the garden. The weeds are so bad.
  3. Nichole- it is late. We had several farms up here not open because they don't irrigate. The two I use by our house have fields. The one was dobe by the 4th and bringing berries in from Michigan. The other one, where I picked up berries from yesterday, have fields a couple of counties to the east of us. They were the last of the berries from the cooler. Running out in the morning and will pick up bananas to make a couple batches of banana blueberry muffins (half will make it in the freezer, I hope
  4. 13 pts peaches My sister was so excited to hear the pings.
  5. I don't even use them most of the time because I go to use it and it's expired.
  6. That's awesome! I picked up a 5 lb box yesterday. They said it's the end of what was in the cooler. I think I put up at least 4 gallons of them. Hope that's enough for the kids to make it through the winter/spring.
  7. Finished DS1's hat. Need to get different sized needles to start scarf. TMC - I'm waiting for the quilting shop to post there July class schedule....... I'll probably run in Monday after going to the knitting shop for needles and yarn for DS2's hat and scarf. They are starting a sock class, I'm trying to work into my schedule.
  8. Will they say if they are drought resistant? I guess i need to request a new catalog or see if i can use my old one.
  9. Glad everyone is safe.
  10. kimba mouse kitty ferret_mom Have a wonderful day all!!!!
  11. 14 pints of corn for us. More to finish tomorrow. 26 pints of corn with my sister. I think she will be buying a pressure canner once DH goes back to work. Will pick up half a bushel of peaches tomorrow. The farmer my produce place uses in Michigan started will 500 trees and between the frost in March and heat and drought he is picking 50 trees.
  12. It is a magenta/fuschia, arby. I reread what i put and couldn't figure it out. I meant to say the hat I just started for DS1 is the blue color.
  13. Finished. Started DS1's hat last night. Loving the color of it. It's a blue but has a gray undertone in it.
  14. We are alright, have some clean up to do but nothing major. I'm guessing we saw at least an inch and a half (no rain gauge so it's a true guess.) Love the rain dance!!!
  15. It rained. Okay it was more monsoon but I'll take it.
  16. Corn, green beans, bell peppers, banana peppers, zucchini, peaches, and blueberries. I feel like I have a small dent in what I need for the winter. I can almost make vegetable soup. LOL
  17. I nearly have DD's scarf finished (finally). I'll post photos when I'm done of the hat and scarf. Will start a set for DS1 next. I need to decide if I should just bite the bullet and take a quilting class or if I should look at the next knitting classes offered (or a sewing refresher). Taking the kids to the library tomorrow, DS1 wants a book on pirates, so I'll look for a beginners quilting book and see if I can make heads or tails of it.
  18. Just took the trash to the curb, it's lightening like crazy. Praying for the rain. I talked to the neighbor behind me this afternoon. He said the power plant he works at had a partial shut down because the river is so low. Not sure if they are still on the shut down. There are sandbars in the middle of the river. I grew up there and have NEVER seen a sandbar in the river.
  19. I just finished a quick inventory of what I had and what I needed to to. I knew I needed to do tomatoes but I have green beans and dilly beans. I count them separately because they are different and the kids don't care for dilly beans . Does it matter?
  20. Sky darkened up to the south of us. Heard the thunder and NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. I'm behind Mother. Just send it east a little when you are done, please, Mother.
  22. Thanks!!!! Almost out of potato flakes. Might try a can of butter and a few other things.
  23. Light, quick rain this morning. Kept reminding myself it's better than no rain. We had a 65% chance last night and nothing. We have 40% chance tonight and 60% tomorrow and tomorrow night. I'm watering the garden everyday or other day (no bans, yet) but have given up on the yard and flowers. The garden is doing a little better because I was a little heavy handed when I put the straw down (who knew it would be a good thing now). Harvested my garlic today and have almost a bucket of blackberries. Harvested some various peppers yesterday. Need to check the beans but it's to hot.
