SueC Posted July 31, 2007 Share Posted July 31, 2007 Thanks everyone! The day was weird. The town has a once a year festival and this year it was on my birthday. So ... (for my birthday of course) ... the town closed the main street, brought in entertainers from several different countries and had non stop fun all day! There were stilt walkers and clowns, and roving minstrels, and Irish dancers, 7 stage areas and several thousand visitors. Pity they all didn't know it was my birthday and bring me a present! On a serious side, that meant DH and DD's were heavily involved with a fund raising stall for the support of chaplains in the schools. They left at about 5.30 am and I did'nt see much of them all day plus no one made any effort to celebrate so I was feeling rather neglected. No. 3 DD came up from Brisbane and brought a present and stayed with me for the day. all others were too busy. Knowing this, we had a lovely family dinner the day before. Link to comment
