  1. I would certainly use as is. It's not that much out of date, and I remember when nothing had use by dates on them.
  2. Boric Acid is also used to kill ants by pest controls here. My mother used it on us kids when I was little, too.
  3. We have a Progressive apple peeler, corer. You can get it from Walmart.com, shipped to store free. It is under $20 before tax. Ordered a second one for DD since we have used ours for 7-8 years. Well worth the money.
  4. Never even eaten rhubarb here in the South. Lots of apples here, so the dehydrator is going now.
  5. I think mine only held pints, about 6 if I remember. Maybe that was why it was too small.
  6. Some time ago, I believe Violet said these were too small (I had one), so I got rid of mine. Not positive on the size, but maybe she will check in soon.
  7. You did good--now to fill them.
  8. Per my old grandfather - long deceased, nail the tail to a tree, skin it, gut it, cut the head off. You can then slice it into fillets or steaks. Roll in corn meal and fry them up.
  9. Got mine today, can't wait to listen. Thank you for your generosity.
  10. What a blessing you are to us, in the past and presently. Praise the Lord for your testimony.
  11. Thank you. I printed and hope to use soon, the recipes I looked at seem so simple.
  12. I remember her, and some others that I miss. She sure was a strong woman with lots of trials. Hope she is doing well, and I would think writing a book may mean she is.
  13. And you shared your gift and blessing with us. Thanks.
  14. Good luck, but it does seem like a good idea.
  15. May God bless you with wisdom and peace in the future as you adjust to this loss.
  16. Last year I found a small can, about half the regular size. Don't know if they are available this year. I doubt you can re-can, but maybe try freezing.
