I just filled up my tank..at $2.99 a gallon. Maybe she'll still go lower.

So far all but one store around here are at 99 cents a pound. Publix is 69 cents.

Well they just announced the social security increase of %1.5 . DH's drug coverage went up %20 , his medicare supplement went up %3. My health insurance went up %60..not to mention gas and groceries. As usual we go in the hole even further. Things are tough for alot of us.

Don't forget that many restaurants offer free meals on Veterans Day. Most of them require an ID and they only give the actual veteran a free meal. (Not the whole party) Some of the local (non chain) businesses around here also give little freebies too so keep your ears and eyes open!

Over the Veterans Day weekend all 133 National Parks will have free admission. Effective November 9-11.

TracFone is wonderful. I spend about $7 a month and have great coverage. I paid $10 for the phone and have had it for over 5 years without a problem..not even a new battery! Unless you talk alot it is a good deal.

If you have met drug or health insurance deductibles for this year or have a HSA(health savings account) now is a good time to look at your regular meds and things like eyeglasses. If you can schedule things right you can save alot of money.

Dh has been on the Z-pac again. He has a bad case of bronchitis. Poor thing has been miserable but he is finally improving. Alot of respiratory stuff going around already this winter. Way to go Annarchy!

My Mom was a terrible cook. However she did cook %99.9 of every bite I ate for 18 years. I guess I'll give her an E for effort. She did do baked desserts though, since she had a bad sweet tooth. -
LOL!!! I don't think my hubby has EVER reloaded the toilet paper roller in his life.

They have 4 episodes in this group of shows. All of them are in different locations. Keep you eye open, maybe they will have one near you in the future.

I received a letter from my insurance telling me that they are discontinuing my plan and to purchase my insurance in the exchange where they will be offering new plans. Great!!!! I am not worried though...Obama said yesterday that the premium will be lower than a cell phone bill. Since my cell phone bill is 7$ a month (TracFone) I guess my new policy will be between 0 and 6 dollars a month. ( NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I was in Target the other day and happened to see the huge clearance of back to school items. They had pencil cases marked down to 50 and 25 cents. I couldn't resist the bargain, but I don't have any school age kids around. I finally bought several and am using it as a make up case in my purse. It is actually stronger and slightly larger than a "real" make up case.

All of our local McDonalds have had free coffee(no purchase necessary) the past week. Check for llittle free standing signs at your McD's. DH actually loves their coffee so he enjoys the freebie.

Thirty years ago today DH and I got married. I don't think any of our friends and family thought we would last. He was alot older than me and had been married more than once. He also had a career that required frequent travel and I had a small son. The minister who married us, and DH and I were the only ones who knew it would work and last.

Is your treadmill being used as a clothes hanger right now Snowmom? I hear that is what many of them become. I would like to have a treadmill but I don't have a place to put one(or the money to buy one). I am in such bad shape right now that I would have to start off with teeny teeny baby steps.

Another new tv show on genealogy. It is on PBS and days and times vary by where you live. It was on last night here. They do several small cases in each hour. This is a 4 part series.
