I mean, if someone around here asked if I had some soda, then my first thought would be-'Whatcha bakin?'-as in baking soda. Nobody in this area uses the term soda refering to a soft drink-unless they say 'soda-pop'. As far as soda water, some might ask for a gin and soda, but most would say gin and seltzer or even be more specific-gin and Perrier. Link to comment
