Greywolf
How about we post some pics of our beloved pets? Maybe we can help cheer Darlene up a little and send some pet-lovin' her way and hope that it brings her babies home quickly. I'll start: Rowan - 100 pound monster mutant collie Sparkle, the 80 pound goofball/clown Sheltie/Shepherd mix: Romeo, the most loving cat in the world who is afraid of nothing and thinks he's a dog: Max, who thinks he's a "playa" and hates all dogs with a furious passion: Skipper (no longer with us - only lived 11 months, but just the best dog ever - a Corgi/Sheltie mix) Link to comment

lunamother
and now for something completely ridiculous- Me and Best In Show "Giddy Wendall"- 25+ years of my breeding. yes. it's a guinea pig. I love 'em. I have about 40 of 'em, and they all have names. They have their own little room with the only good a/c in the house (heat kills 'em dead really quickly- at our new place we'll be building an earth shelter just for them). I even have a guinea pig tattoo. http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l201/lun...yof000_1596.jpg Giddy Wendall in all his glory- http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l201/lun...yof000_1593.jpg no. you don't eat 'em. you don't skin 'em. they're pets. I have shipped them and have my babies showing all over the country. All my pigs have Giddy in front of their names cuz my Caviary is registered as Giddypigs. Giddy Wendall is a Coronet- a long haired pig with a crest. and I'm one of a handful of people working on two other long haired crested breeds- Satin Coronets like Giddy Glenn- http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l201/lun...gs/000_0459.jpg and curly coated Coronets called Merinos like Giddy Kimberly- http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l201/lun...gs/000_1434.jpg now. the next time anyone says YOU'RE crazy for doing (fill in any homesteading activity)- just bookmark THIS to show 'em Link to comment

Deb2of9
Okay, I have to add my pets. Abbott and Cozy think they own my computer...I have to get their permission to get on here. Dewey tries to look innocent....hiding in his little house. Innocent he is not...and if that female cat out side doesn't quit making him howl all night long, my daughter might be out one cat Leah is the all black one. She doesn't like Dewey, but I think it is because she used to rule the house. Link to comment

Pigzzilla
Lunamother, We used to have a big all black giddy-pig named Squeeky. He loved "grazing" with the rabbits. We made a big circle of chicken wire and put all the critters out on the lawn under the trees for a few hours during the day when the weather was nice. They all seemed happy to get out in nature for a bit. Link to comment
Vic303
Lunamom, There ARE some rare non-breed-standard Ridgebacks that are a light brindle. There was also a sable coat color that has also been bred out in favor of the standard. However, Cody is not a purebred and it is most likely (certain...) that the brindle coloration is from the non-RR parent. Link to comment

Stacy Thank you - he really is a beautiful collie - the most handsome one I've ever seen on TV, movies, or in real life, and I'm not being biased. Such a wonderful, sweet, loving dog too - hopefully we can get a handle on his neurosis. Link to comment
Snowmom
Here are the two kittens we had and gave away because they were getting into trouble, they were breaking off my plants and other things we just couldn't have. The darker one is Misti and he lighter colored one is Skutter. Here are a couple pictures of Prince and Queen, it was two years ago this month we had to put Queen down, she was 13 years and 8 months old, and then the following March, we had to put Prince down, at the age of 14 years and 3 months. The first picture if of Prince and the second one of Queen. They were about 3 - 4 months old here. The next one is of Queen the day we took her to have her put down, she was so sick. Now Prince the same day, I believe. You can see he is getting old and not good either. He was blind in the one eye and almost blind in the other eye and couldn't hear very good either for several months before we had to put him to sleep. But we had them for a very long time. Still miss them. Now, we have Minnie who we got from the animal shelter in town. She is something else. She loves to play with the ball and has one distroied and another one on the way to distruction. She is part Jack Russell Terrier. Link to comment

HipppieChick217
This is my In-laws dog, Chance (whom we currently live with so I guess that makes him our dog too) He is a yellow lab the size of a small pony. He does not know that he is a dog. He thinks he is one of the kids. We also have a hamster named Flower, I will post a picture when she finally comes out of hiding. Buttercup, I am so jealous. I did not know that you have a beagle. I want one in the worst way. I love those dogs. Link to comment
