Thanks for the heads up on Trip, Mt.Rider. I have read Stephanie's books and they're both very good. Does anyone remember Paradox from years ago? She wrote a really good story about the Madrid earthquake and a family and their journey afterwards . I thought she posted it here but I can't seem to find it . She has a post and I think it's the sequel to it but not the original one down in fireside.

Yesterday the high was 92...today it cooled down to 91.

Dh is doing remarkably well. It was a wonderful thing to have the cataracts removed. I didn't realize how blurry my vision had become. No more glasses for distance and I can use the cheap readers for reading.

I'm just getting old. Last year dh got a kidney transplant...I got cataracts removed from both eyes...and we downsized....a lot of unnecessary stuff. I'm still working for at least a few more years...then maybe I can afford to retire. Trying to figure out how to prep in a smaller space...without cramming too much in. How have you been?

Ok...I'll go with that, lol!

So glad you're back and feeling better! for an easy move for your parents and for decision making on your part.

We are all doing well. Dh is doing amazingly well. It's like a second chance ya know? He will go in for regular Dr visits and be on meds for the rest of his life but he's lost over 30 pounds and is now able to go and walk several miles a day (which he does). Our move went well into our new place but we will be moving again at the end of August. Our daughter is staying with us so we were are a three-bedroom place. But she's now doing physically better...got accepted to grad school and will moving out in the fall. So....we are moving into a two bedroom place in September. This move will go much easier because we got rid of so much last year....and the new place is literally about 10 houses down the street. I love my IPad! I had to upgrade my phone because after four years it no longer held a charge and they had a special where I could get one for $100. I've already put a Kindle app on it so I can read my books and an exercise app on it so I can get of my tuckus and get fit like my hubby. He's leaving me in the dust. I like how lightweight it is...kinda like having a giant phone.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your puppy Kappy. Your new one is adorable!

The drought is officially over here in California. We have actually been getting 'weather' as in rain and more rain and then sunny days and then thunderstorms and then sunny days . It's kind of nice.

I like the color schemes. Old School isn't so hard on the eyes.

Andrea! So good to hear from you. I have a chrome book but haven't been able to get on for months on it. No matter what I did to my settings it never let me get past that warning page.

I now have a tablet with Safari so I can get in and actually see what I'm reading. You have no idea how much I missed you guys.

I have Safari on my phone which must be why I can get in on it. Unfortunately I have a Chromebook so I have to use Chrome...still getting the deceptive warning site. I've tried but can't get past it. Oh well....
