  1. Oh! Thank you! I got the free BHMs and Jackie Clay's books and was just wondering if there was a place that listed what was free.
  2. I downloaded all these and the Kindle software for Linux but can't get it to run
  3. I have a close friend who gets a migraine if she eats onions, green peppers, peanut butter or celery.
  4. Katmom, I used to have tonsilitis at least once a month when I was growing up. I finally had my tonsils out at 15; that was no fun! Please encourage their mom to try the dairy free. Most people just ignore me when I say that but those who have tried it all report improvment. DH used to have allergies and asthma-type response when he would mow the grass, etc. Within 3 weeks of going off ALL diary, he no longer had symptoms of asthma and has never since. That's been about 25 years ago. I had repeated sinus infections that required doctor visits and medication. I have not had any since going off dairy.
  5. Try taking them off all dairy producst for a few months and see if they improve. A dairy allergy can be at the root of all kinds of upper respiratory and lung problems. My family knows this from much experience! It can also be a cause of bedwetting.
  6. I hope kitty is recovering well. Ambergris, that's sad about your kitty too.
  7. Wow, what a relief for you folks! That is wonderful. God answered our prayers!
  8. Praying you'll all soon be well and for patience during the sickness.
  9. The sample that Amazon allows me to read sounds really good!
  10. Very interesting video and information. One thing I might complain about is his statement right at the end that "store bought" seeds are sterile. That simply isn't true. First of all, he means hybrid seeds. All "store-bought" seeds are not hybrids. Hybrid seeds are not sterile. Hybrid cucumber seeds, for instance, will grow cucumbers but they won't be the hybrid variety that you originally planted. You don't know what they will be like because they will have DNA from the varieties that were used in the cross-pollination to create the hybrid. They might be tasty, they might not be. You just don't know how the quality will turn out but they WILL be cucumbers and they will grow and produce. It is true that big companies are working on their terminator technology for their big agri-seed hybrids but those are not available to home gardeners. Any hybrid seed that we can buy is not sterile. Over all, I enjoyed the video. I just wish folks would get their facts straight!
  11. It's good to know that she is careful what she puts in her books. I've wondered about the legality of giving unsafe information so I appreciate your post ScrubbieLady.
  12. I don't have any of her books but I've read comments about some of her canning recipes on another forum. She cans things that are not considered safe to can such as milk and butter. Personally, I would be afraid to trust her canning book so I would choose the Food Storage book.
  13. Yes, thank you folks! I really missed it while it was gone!
  14. I know for sure that God will give you the peace and strength you need when the time comes that you need it. He promises it and it is sure. I'm praying for you and your dad.
  15. More applesauce and apple juice. 23 qts applesauce for a total of 111 and 9 qts of juice for a total of 25 qts and 8 1/2 gallons.
  16. She's so pretty! I'm glad she's feeling better. What breed is she?
