This contains an image of:

I used coconut oil and 1/2 tsp of maple flavoring instead of 1 tsp of vanilla.  Turned out great!

Pulled a half a pot of soup out of the fridge and a couple of plates of leftovers out of the freezer, cut things up, combined them all, and put them to simmer.

Now I'm watching the puppy and escorting her out the door to walk on the rain-wet ground...often.  Today has been basically devoted to that.  She has still puddled the ceramic twice.  So long as she stays off the unsealed wooden floorboards in the bedrooms, we'll be ahead of the game.   (Don't want to shut off the bedrooms because cats nap and hide in them.)  I had thought this would be a flea-bath day, but it's a little chilly so far.

Those muffins look really good.

Jeepers, glad things are coming along on the house now. That has been a long time coming.

Annarchy, stay safe on that road trip and back.

Miki, I do that sometimes, up early morning around 4 or 4:30. To early to work outside as it is still dark and grandson asleep on couch in den, so just get busy working on closets in bedrooms.

Didn't realize how much junk I have. But going through it and ditching a lot. Glad to have those closets almost empty. Just maybe I will be able to find things when it is all said and done.

Garden for squash is about done. But okra, eggplant, tomatoes are all still going strong.

Mt. Rider hope you and your DH was able to get the air conditioner in without to much effort.

Miki's muffins look so delicious. If you ever start selling them, Miki's Muffin's would be a perfect name.

I headed out to the house today and got a call from the cabinet lady she wants to meet up at the house tomorrow morning. I can do that. If I had known about 10 minutes earlier I would have just waited until tomorrow to go over. No biggie though. Project Manager said we need to get on it because they will probably have to custom make a couple of them. Two of them beside the stove will be very narrow. Not sure how it will work. I was going to call her Monday after son's left. My mind is getting jumbled with all of the info lately. I hope she has some advice on bathroom vanities. Should the downstairs one match the woodwork, dark brown or the kitchen cabinets, white. Not a clue. Wish I could take the P.M. shopping with me. I suppose he has other customers to tend to though. :D  Besides, he probably thinks, "They don't pay me enough to actually go shopping with that crazy lady." He'd be correct. One of us has to stay focused.

DIL got the earnest money when promised. UPS is insanely expensive but they do deliver on time. The last two times I dealt with the Post Office, their over night took three days. The day it was sent, transit day, delivery the next evening. Anyway they can breathe easier. Just hope the inspection goes well for them.

The Adorable One :grinning-smiley-044: won't have to change schools unless they just want to. His mom takes him to another town to a private school. She'll just continue to do that I'm sure. In fact it might even be a couple of miles closer. It only goes up to the 6th. (I think) grade. They have been thinking about where to send him after that. They were wanting to get in a little bit better neighborhood (no little kids where they are at now in town) where he could establish some new lifelong friends but they are against public schools and private schools over there are few and far between. He really loves his classmates but they are all scattered out. Fortunately a lot of birthday parties in the summer and a couple of play dates. He really needs interaction with other kids. Don't know what the future holds but she is very good about taking him to and from school and activities so that's a good thing. Luckily she doesn't have my social anxiety. School is very expensive but his grandpa is paying for all of his education so she is happy to take him.

BLT's sounds so good. I usually just do BOT's. Bacon, onion and tomato. Most of the time it's just tomato and onion with some mayo. :yum3:  I can live on those in the summer. The weather was pretty toasty today. Nothing like the south but the high 80's and muggy.

Drove over to STL this morning for my cardiology apt. Huge downpour and we took DH's car. Came back to a  small tree branch having hit the top of my car door :( Won't affect the function but sad my nice SUV is dented. Thankful it wasn't a bigger branch!

Miki sometimes I wake up super early like that always a pain when you can't fall back asleep.

Jeepers I know what you mean about living on tomato sandwiches in the summer I've had two this week with cheese and so tasty :happy0203: Just a little mayo and lettuce, cheese and thick slices of tomato is perfect.

Ambergris hope the puppy picks up the housebreaking quickly.

Littlesister I bet you'll be glad when the closets are done!

Mt Rider I've had bacon packs like that from time to time it's always such a disappointment.

Home is 118°, here in TX 112°. A bit cooler.

:scratchhead:       :icon19:   Are you and MIL .....and your dh doing okay?  Beastly weather you're having.  :knary:   Be ever so careful, friend!

High in the Rockies....we're reaching the 90's.  I can't even imagine that hot and HUMID!  Do you ever go outside?

We don't have the A/C in yet.  Our schedules aren't matching now that DH is working 2 clients MWF.  I was gone to another appt. today but took the senior service to let him stay home and rest for a change.  However, just after I arrived for appt, the rain began - combined with ice chips.  I was on the second floor and you could hear it plainly.  Then it began to serious throw down pea sized hail.  That got noisy.  While I was waiting in lobby for my ride, the secretary upstairs came down to go home.  Still raining hard and employee parking lot is down an outside long flight of stairs.  I offered her a plastic bag for some protection but she said she wouldn't melt.  Unfortunately, just after she would have only gotten a short way, larger pea hail began slamming down with strong wind.  OW!  Bet she would have liked to hold the plastic bag up to protect from that onslaught!  CO Rockies.....gotta be tough out here.  She sure wasn't wearing jeans and a hoodie tho...dressed for office and no coat.  :(   We drove out of the storm cell and tho it had rained hard, our place was sunny and cooler when I got there.  End of the day isn't a good time for this type of project involving moving furniture inside and hoisting that heavy thing into the window.  :grinning-smiley-044:

Glad your Indy folks can move up to a good home to raise a small family, Jeepers.  Your D-ex can be a dear, can't he?  We do need to support our families in these harsh economy days.  And support private schools if possible.  My Grsons went/are going to private school.  Just not possible for all tho.  :(

Aw....too bad about your vehicle, Becca Anne!  Just in the wrong place!  Storms are wild right now!  :behindsofa:

Ambergris...can you put up a puppy barrier that the cats will just leap over?  Fun times till she gets the OUTSIDE thing going!

MtRider  .... yeah, bed sounds good!

Pruning hedge and roses this afternoon.
Cool off!

Jeepers, I'm praying for relief from water issues for you!  That was a deluge on your car!

And you, too @Mt_Rider!  We are supposed to get some rain tomorrow and Sunday.  We will see.  98 for high here, today!

I hope you all stay cool enough @Annarchy!  The weather is all over the place, lately!

@Becca_Anne, I'm sorry about your car door, but really want to know how your doc appointment went!

Started early on the closets. I have 3 going at one time as one in front bedroom I am totally emptying it. Going to remove the shelving and paint it. Then see about putting wood shelving in there. I hate those wire shelves. Want to have that ready to use after everything in that room is removed and painted. Then sewing machine, desk and craft things will be back in there and a shelving unit will also be put in for better organization. I have 2 hall linen closets and one long one has always been my pantry as I have no room in kitchen for much food. The other linen closet is still for only blankets a couple of extra pillows, sheets etc. All towels are in each bathroom now. So that really helped a lot. Two of the grandchildren will have a lot of things to go through. They can take what they want and the rest will go to Goodwill unless DD wants what's left.

Taking a break now as I hot a bit to hot. It is hot and humid outside.  Suppose to rain later but they said that yesterday and it didn't happen. So will see.

Jeepers, I am so glad to see they are getting the plans together for your house. I know that has to be a load off of your shoulders. And now your son and DIL are moving as well. That is some news and a big surprise. When my DD and SIL was still living here they were in the next county over. It was a straight shot to their neighborhood and was so much easier to get to. So should work out for you also to just be a straight shot to where they will be moving.

Speaking of rain that was some shower you had Mt. Rider.

Becca Anne so sorry about your car but at least it was minor and nothing to bad.

Annarchy, you guys drink lots of water and try to stay cool. that is some hot temps. Just hope we don't get that high here. But August has been known to be our hottest summer month.

   Just to clarify, we were raining as hard as Jeeper's pic showed .....but not the area where the gutters were DUMPING that deluge onto poor jeep! (glad it started for you, Jeepers!)  The problem for my friend was the HAIL that was pea size ....fortunately not marble size or bigger which we have frequently.... and was being thrown down hard by wind.  There are always stories in CO summer where the hail is breaking windows in cars and even houses if wind is sideways.  Plastic greenhouses here are really at risk.  (ask me how I know) Tempered glass ones could be.  Roofers make a mint some summers here.

Today we're much cooler....70* at noon.  (thermometer not in sun)  I hope my horse ride tomorrow morning is clear.....or at least clear of lightning.  Just rain I can handle but CO doesn't do that very often with bringing along thunder/lightning.

Miki...did you sleep any better last nite?  You're having it worse than me and for me, it's usually just getting to bed at an earlier hour.  :busted:

Have fun this weekend with family, Jeepers.

Stay safe in heat, Miki...Annarchy......anyone else in the desperate heat of the south.  Hopefully DH and I can hoist that A/C in Sat afternoon or evening.

Bad news on the HEAT factor for any of us non-coastal but adjacent to (sorry Mother) or west of the Mississippi river.  Here is a pic from AccuWeather for this coming week.....  :knary:

Take precautions for above average heat, friends!

It is hot here now. They say 88* but feels much hotter. GS just left for work. With the type of work he does, no air conditioner. I don't know how he does it. Guess it is what you are used to  but now he carries a huge jug of water to work with him and staying hydrated much better now.  He was so dehydrated that is what caused the kidney stone. Hoping he learned that lesson.

We all need some good rains with this heat. If I don't get rain this evening I will be watering garden again. I need some rain barrels. Been looking into that.

Still working on closets and going through things. Finding more stuff that I don't need. Got a lot put away in the one linen closet. Just going through sheets and things now. Then what I am keeping can be put away.  Only need to totally empty the one closet in the front bedroom and move that stuff to another location. Then I can get that closet painted and put in wooden shelving instead of that wire shelving that's in there now.

As bad as the rain was, I'm glad there was no hail in it. I always think about that now that I don't have a garage to park in. I'm sorry your car door got a dent in it Becca_Anne!

I worry about our southern family here. Hope everyone stays cool and hydrated! I would be a mess in that kind of heat. I'd have to hibernate. Or as my cousin used to say 'hermitize myself." Speaking of cousin. I found a poem today at the house that she wrote for me. She nailed our friendship. Actually made me cry. I miss that old heifer.

Lady came to measure the kitchen for cabinets. Next step will be to get a budget from my Project Manager then she will show me some samples. She knows my situation. I want nice but not expensive. She said I couldn't go wrong with white cabinets. White it is. She gave me a few tips on the bathroom vanities. Nice lady. She said she just came from a job one county south of me. She said that house was as bad as mine and people all over the state are in the same boat. She told me not to feel alone that there are some people in even worse shape. Hard to imagine and I hate that for others, but misery does love company. She also sided with me on round toilets. :pout:  My bathrooms are tiny and every square inch not taken up by porcelain will help it 'appear' bigger.

After the big rain I noticed quite a lot of water in the basement. It has never been real dry after a rain. Then I noticed something. It doesn't look like the sump pump is plugged in. Sigh. I think the electrician forgot to plug it back in when he finished installing the breaker box. I saw a plug on the floor, plugged into an extension cord, in the water. I wasn't about to mess with that. Yeah, more water woes. :grinning-smiley-044:

I am exhausted. All I did was be at the house about an hour and stop off at the fruit/veggie market. I got a lot of fruit etc for son's and just doing that little bit of prep work has me flat on my back. My back and legs are screaming. Sheesh. I had a mess of watermelon and cantaloup rinds and bell pepper innards to get rid of. I was going to run it over to a local dumpster that I know of but I wimped out. I told the front desk I had a juicy mess and he said he would take care of it. And he did. I must have looked pretty rough. At least I double bagged it all.

My colo-rectal test came back negative. That's one end taken care of.  :happy0203:  We can all breathe a little easier now.  :008Laughing:

Waiting for mammogram results. They said it could take 2 weeks so I'm not in panic mode...yet.

Went to pick up prescriptions. One was $45.00 after insurance.  Dang.

Miki Sorry you didn't get a full nights sleep! My apt was just a routine apt to check on my Implanted Cardiac Defibrillator. Some setting needed re-programmed so it will work right. I caught this one myself and let them know the manufacturer recommendations for the change. I have an ICD for insurance purposes due to a funky heart condition I have that puts me at higher risk of sudden cardiac death. It was discovered incidentally when I went to the Emergency Dept about 6 yrs ago for abdominal pain (unrelated). It has never been needed and I'm at low risk of it actually being needed but when you're a mom and the sole breadwinner for your family you do what the experts tell you is best and get the "insurance" policy.

Mt Rider crazy weather hope you can get that A/C in soon.

Littlesister you are getting close now! I need to follow your example all my closets are a mess and stuffed right now.

Jeepers glad the lady was helpful planning the kitchen. I really hope this project goes smoothly for you. White is always good when you want to sell.

I had a good day at work and found out I'm getting a small bonus which is really nice. One of my major projects was successfully concluded today which is a feather in the cap of the organization so can't go wrong with making them look good :) Also the plumbers came today and roughed in the new plumbing, fixed a clog and replaced the shower diverter upstairs so that shower works better now. They will come back Tuesday to finish up the replacement of the walls (they are doing an overlay over the existing wallboard). So that project will be done. And right in time my friend arrives the beginning of August.

I’m in TX. Text message said, water was out for our whole town, at home, around 10 am. DH sleeps until 1-2 pm….  He woke up from the text message, phone call & messages the city sent, and UPS/FedEx…’bark, bark, bark’ Storm just can’t contain himself when he hears those trucks.

DH said there was enough ‘trickle’ to fill their water bowls and a bucket to flush with. Text message said the water was restored by 4pm.

Yeah, Jeepers, NO water….  :shakinghead:    Don’t you wish…..:coffeescreen:  Just joking, Sweetheart…..

So, I got a large bag of grass seed, to fix MIL’s front yard.  Neighbor used weed killer that killed a large area in the middle of her yard.  Spread the seed and began to water the area, to ‘set’ the seed.  A big black dog, thin, came to the wall by her yard, looking at me, but went on down the street.  Didn’t think much of it, then.  Until, I was getting ready to water the area, this evening.  Saw it again…poor puppy…thirsty, looking lost….by the time I was able to get outside, (mom locks the doors & security doors & I had to put my shoes on), it had wondered up the street.  I set a water dish by the road, hoping it will find it later.  Broke my heart.  :sigh:

Walked first this morning.
Walked dogs.
Mopped entire Church fellowship hall and bathrooms. It's a lot bigger than I thought.
Still need to cook a package of bacon to put in Stuffed French Toast in the morning for Church.
Will get up at 5 to make it and let it sit for awhile before baking.
Young man was here this morning to put down radiant barrier in attic but it got hot fast. He started at 7 and we told him to go home at 10:30. He will be here at 5 so no need to set my alarm.

Becca Anne, I'm glad it was just a routine visit for you.

I keep about 6-8 gallons of water by my washer in vinegar bottles, Annarchy.  A leftover habit from living in hurricane country, I guess.

Was up early this morning to go to neighbor's house to let the dog out. She is in Nags Head NC for the weekend. Her husband goes to work at 7 am and the dog refuses to get up in the mornings to go outside. Yep she is spoiled rotten and likes to sleep in. So I wait till about 9 am to make her get up and go outside. She just looks at me and slowly gets up and mopes to the door and goes outside still not ready to get up. That's not really spoiled that is just plain rotten.

Came home and got ready to take GS to T-mobile to exchange his phone. He was having lots of issues with the old one and had Cricket for his service from Washington. So while there I switched my internet service to T-mobile also. Been thinking about that for 3 or 4 months as I have been fed up with spectrum internet. Gets really slow and then drops and they just keep going up on the price. So now that is all done and I just need to call spectrum and drop them like they drop my internet when I am in the middle of something. T-Mobile had a special where they dropped the connection fees. So both GS and I saved on that and I am saving about $54 a month on internet now. They will not go up on the price and no contracts. GS came home and got me set up on the computer for it. So for me both cell phone and the internet together is only $95 a month. I can't go wrong on that deal.

So didn't get anything done with the closets but at least I got the internet straight. We then went to Walmart as GS wanted to buy some food for lunches at work. I bought him some summer clothes and summer work socks as most of his clothes are winter clothes. He really needed them. He can wear them to work so he will be a lot cooler than wearing those sweatpants to work. They are to thick for summer months and he has no air condition where he works as it is a warehouse type situation doing countertops. So now at least he will be cooler.

Made a pizza for dinner and he scoffed that down like it was his last meal. Glad it turned out so well. Been a few years since I make home baked pizza.

would have  gotten  more sleep, except  the electric was on  for  2.5 hours  in the  middle of the night. Maintenance. Sometimes it is  hard to  win.

Och!  Hard to win, is right!!!   Don't I know that one.   I had a 10-11am ride today.  That means getting up at 7am.  :(   But nooooooo....  I'm up at 4:30AM with one of my headaches.     Can't lay down - it intensifies!  So I got up and had some cereal and took a Nuprin.  Thankfully, one Nuprin usually still works...but I was awake by the time it finally knocked it out.  I did actually lay on the bed in the midst of getting ready and have a nap.  It helped.

I was over due for a chiro adjustment in neck!  But with DH leaving early and coming home late with extra hours, we just couldn't make it happen.  So finally today after our trip "in town"   [running into yet a 4th area on our route that had road construction ...on Saturday!!!] ... we finally got the adjustment done.  I went to lay down and chill for a while to let it set.  Feel much better now.  Hopefully, headaches will cease.  Usually does.

Ride was great...nice morning.  Got hot later.  Still didn't get the A/C in window cuz ...with adjustment and resting and ......dog and I walked the whole mile tonite (after sun's down).  :cheer:   I am so very pleased with that.  :woohoo:

I've also gotten really excited about the cognitive and physical improvement after all this P.T. - cognitive and of course, the red pills to make it possible!!  Proof!  Yesterday I actually got on the Internet and read about Instapot.  Being SO hot here, I didn't want to use the stove but DH would need feedin' when he got home from 2 clients.  So even tho that "R2D2 unit" has intimidated me for a couple years with all it's digital buttons.....I figured out how to turn the (needing to be used) potatoes into potato salad without using boiling water.  :knary:   Pressure steamed them in the Instapot.  AND the site said to put two raw eggs on top of the potatoes.  The 10 minute steam build up and just FIVE MINUTES to steam it all, will have large-cubed potatoes already cooked soft and the eggs hard-boiled.  AND I even found the requisite mesh bowl - exact size needed.  AND IT WORKED!  :amen:     Boy I mean that!  :amen:

Cuz what this means is....that my brain really is getting better from all the things L has been telling me to do.  Even slightly overheated, I got that potato salad made and in fridge.  Fried two burgers on the cast iron slotted fry pan.  We had good meal.  My brain didn't fritz out like it's been doing - right in the middle of something!  Furthermore, as I told my mom about it on the phone later, she said she's noticed a huge difference lately while we talk.  Said I sound more like me.     And DH was agreeing with her.  :bounce:   I went to bed so excited to have confirmation of what I've been feeling too.  :amen:  There's no reason that I can't figure out the Instapot but.... it just seemed to be so complex.  Well!  Not any more.

 that Miki gets to sleep better...if not tonite, SOON!

Congrats, Becca Anne, on your finished project and bonus and POINTS at work!    your plumbers get all prepared for arrival of your friend.

Jeepers, hope you're having fun with family..in the pool.   Or was it next weekend?  But your projects are making progress!  Don't wear yourself out and get sick tho.  Good haul on watermelon, etc!

Annarchy.....how hot is TX and AZ?  Lot of power usage on old equipment.  Is water restored for your dh and dogs yet?

Little Sister.....you seem to have a talent for crunching the numbers and finding the best deal for cost savings.  And your GS seems to now be watching these transactions.   Pennies add up to dollars!!!

MtRider .... Y'all be careful with weather and all the rest of life's challenges!  :grouphug:

4.5 hours sleep. Up at 5 for fellow finishing laying radiant barrier in attic.
French toast bake is in oven.
Then pick up my friend and take her and French toast to Church.
Early afternoon, another friend will pick me up and going to a play. Assassins the musical. Small town production and it gives the local kids something positive to do in their spare time. So relaxing some this afternoon!

Tuesday and Saturday are the only days I don't need to get up early this coming week, so hoping for extra rest then!  I'm so glad that your MS is coming under control, Mt Rider!  That has to be a huge relief!

Try to get a little rest Becca Anne and Littlesister!  Wish we were all hanging out with Jeepers and fam at the pool!

Yes, prayers are being answered for Mt. Rider's health issues. Glad all is starting to come together for you Mt. Rider.

GS is asleep in den. Went early this morning to let the neighbor's dog out. Decided to leave her out for a while early as it was cooler outside but is now getting hot again. Bought her back in as I felt it was getting to hot out for her to stay out any longer.  Will be moving all of grandson's things I have packed up for him to sit in the foyer till granddaughter gets the bedroom suit out. That will be on August 5th. Will empty bookcase in hall that sits in front of the door of that bedroom to make room for them to move the bedroom suit out. Will have to move some furniture in den also to give them room to get through there. I will be so glad when all this is done and GS is moved into his apartment also. He moves out on the 25th and the baby shower is on the 26th of August. Hope I can keep up my energy as it is going to be one very busy month around here. I need to put a hole in top of 2 dowels and run a piece of clothes line through them for the baby gift. I will take a picture and see if GS can help me get the pictures out from where they are back into my folder area for pictures so I can drag those to the form for you to see. He is much better at all the tech stuff than I am. It changes so much that I just can't keep up anymore. He had my new internet set up in now time flat. Was easy to do. So far I am loving it. No dropped internet since I switched it. And computer is so much faster now.

I have seen a wonderful change in grandson since I told him to move out the end of May. I think it was good for him. He offers to help me now without asking, and much more respectful. He is cleaning up his messes behind him now where before I was up cleaning up behind him every morning. Haven't had to do that since he has been back. I had only let him stay here while he had the kidney stone and he was suppose to go back to live with his friend. But I think after what happened with the dog and the roaches and black mold he didn't want to go back. I never told him he could stay but as long as he is not acting like he was I will let him go ahead and stay. It's only about 5 more weeks anyway as long as he continues to improve on his issues. Glad to see this change in him. It has been a long time coming and a huge struggle for me to help him see his way of life was not good.

What everything Mt. Rider said!

So glad your therapy is working out so well for you! I understand completely about being confused by new things. I am still intimated to initialize my 'new' computer and now the printer. Sigh. I really need both of them but put off trying to get them going. I need to work on that. I defeat myself before I even get started.

We had a productive weekend. Son and I got a lot of the garage cleared out. Enough that workers can store materials etc. in there. We also got most of the family room cleared out and some of the upstairs bedroom where I had 'medical supplies' stored. We could have gotten more stuff  in the trailer but weight was becoming an issue. We got all of those canning jars in the bed of the truck. That was a big help. I feel bad because now he will have to unload it all by himself. Although G-son can help with the canning jars they are light weight if you lift one box at a time.

We worked all day Saturday until around 4:00 then went out to eat at the same place we did the last time, Max & Erma's. It's right down the street from here. Everything is right down the street around here. DIL was talking about how much nicer it is over here as far as how convenient it is to shop here. I will miss that. And how they don't clear out all the trees to build new places the way they do over in Indiana. Something I never really noticed. But it is true. We have a lot of green space here.

Then we hit the pool. I gotta get a pool!  LOL  We had a good time but even better it was such good exercise. I'm no swimmer by any stretch of the imagination, but I held onto the side and kicked my legs and they really got a good workout.  Really lightweight and easier in the water. Then while I was spotting G-son while he did pseudo cannonballs off the deep end, I waved my arms around in water to exercise them. Somehow they have become flabby too.   Pool is only 5 feet deep and he always wears water wings or a life jacket and one of us is always close by. Just incase. Next day it was breakfast and the pool again and out by 11:00. We had a good weekend. I'm exhausted. :grinning-smiley-044: They are going to have a long trip with that truck and trailer loaded down. Will have to go slow and stop a lot to get gas! Alot of gas.

Son checked out the water in the basement and the issue was from an unplugged sump pump. He plugged it in and the water started draining out. Electrician did forget to plug it back in. Sigh. At least it was an easy fix. Also there is now water going out to the garage so I can get the landscaper to plant. I MIGHT wait one more week though because I'm thinking about taking my last trip to PA. before he plants. I need to be at the house every day or two to water them in the heat that I know is coming. Either go now or wait until early winter. Don't know yet. I'm tired.

Jeepers, sounds like you had a very productive weekend.  Glad your son got the sump pump going so you could get that water out. Yep I do think you will need to buy a swimming pool at the new house.

GS is having a fit because he cannot get on his games. He has everything correct and it keeps telling him it's the wrong password or something went wrong. It's driving him crazy. He doesn't think it's the new internet service as he had no problem with it. So it has to be on the end of the gaming company he has. I don't know enough about that stuff to help him.

GS and I went to Kohl's today and it looks like they are either going out of business and haven't announced it yet or maybe remodeling the store. Everything was on sale and the area with the dishes, appliances and things were wiped out. I did get some appliances for him at half off. $15 for a blender and hand held mixer. Lot's of clothes and bath stuff still loaded and also on sale at different percentages off. Picked up a few more baby clothes at 70% off. I am buying up clothes of different sizes to help get her through most of next year. DD is doing the same thing. I think I am done buying for both GS and GD now. So anything else that GS might need will now be on DD.  Now I need to box everything up and have it ready to go to his apartment. Having to do this for 2 kids at once is rough. Poor GS was funny. We were in the baby section and he said this isn't his thing that he knows nothing about baby stuff. I had to laugh.

:amen:   :bounce:   :happy0203:   WE GOT THE A/C IN THE WINDOW TODAY  :frozen:  :hapydancsmil:  :frozen:

Got a few other things done too.  Watched our "church" ...one in O'ahu.

DH got to rest today - except for the A/C.  He did geese/duck for the night while dog and I went a ways down the road.  Not far tonite - 6/10ths.  Was nice and cool in the shade of the western ridge.

Am trying to find the instructions to my current "sound amplifier".  I'm sending it to my mom - so she can hear her TV without turning it up so loud in an appartment building.  She lost total hearing in one ear long ago.  In her 90s so hearing in the other ear is getting sketchy.  Sending it as early Bday (Sept).  Turned a lot of areas upside down looking for the instructions ????  Cuz I'm not sure if it has softer/louder buttons or what.  I never throw things away....  :busted:    so it's got to be somewhere.  I've actually cleared out the bedside "table"....the file for appliances,...my PURSE....and shelves by my LR chair.  :scratchhead:  Where else could I have put it....in the past couple months....while I turned my house upside down for the electrical work??????   Oye...it could be anywhere!

Oh well.  I know most of the functions.  I guess if it has louder/softer, I could never discern it.   It's just a small box and wire/ear piece.  Had to send her an adapter plug in cuz I've just charged it thru my laptop.  She has no electronics.  Her phone is a desk model.  I put labels on some parts - in larger letters.

Glad you had a good weekend, Jeepers!  You're gonna get back to Indy yet!

Pray that you'll get more sleep, Miki.

Pray your DS stays off the drugs and continues to act as he should, Little Sister!

I don't know much about Kohl's recently, but they have been talking about restructuring.

It's a good thing your G-son doesn't know nuthin' bout babies. Let's hope it stays that way for a while longer for him.  LOL

That always reminds me of the line in Gone With The Wind that Butterfly McQueen spoke. "I don't know nuthing' about birthin' babies".
