  1. I've eaten it way past due date too; it was a year or so past due date. It tasted like I just bought it.
  2. Hi and WELCOME! The Ex thing doesn't sound strange to me. Mine just happends to still be one of best friends. We don't live close geographically and our son is an adult, but we still talk on the phone about every other week. Sure beats the bickering and fighting type of split!
  3. Thanks for the picture. I've never seen one even in a picture.
  4. Hi BR-Mom! WELCOME, WELCOME, WELCOME. Glad you joined in.
  5. She looks like an Annabel aka Annie.
  6. I'm tired just reading it too. But I'll bet you have a great summer. Arby, Nido is a brand of powdered milk. Kinder = children. So, it's powdered milk for children. I got some at Walmart. It is supposed to be very good. I didn't break into mine yet though. I'm saving it for the big one! LOL
  7. I think you are coming out ahead. If you didn't have the waranty, they would probably have charged you double what the parts cost them. Hope this helps with the itchies.
  8. Awwww. Cuteness overload! And the name is....
  9. Okay, I have a bad case of garden envy.
  10. I got them both just fine. Thank You! I seem to like Word Docs better than PDF's lately. You can add to them or scooch them around to resize them.
  11. Still keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!
  12. Great video Twilight. Gees, is there anything you can't find online or Youtube these days. We must have been really stupid back in the old days....speaking for myself there. Most of my crud was from liquid fabric softener. It looked just like what she was dealing with plus all under the rubber flange, that circles the tub, was caked and gummy. I had to use a screwdriver then a small putty knife to get rid of it. Instead of pipe cleaners one of those small sink snakes would work good too and be longer and less flexible. I've heard a lot to people say their front load washer smells bad all the time.
  13. LOL Windmorn. You know what's going to happen when someone says, "Don't look" Jeepers---------->
  14. UGH. Wonder if that has anything to do with your itching? It would be nice if that was behind it all. I remember being disgusted when I ran my hand under the rubber flange thing that goes around top of the inside of the washer. Most of it was dried on fabric softener, before I switched to dryer sheets. Makes me wonder if my next washer should be a front loader without an agitator?
  15. I don't know if it has been posted before or not but I don't remember seeing it. Looks like I have some copy & pasting in my near future. Thanks!
  16. Mt. Rider, your book list is tied into your Amazon account. Go to Amazon, manage my Kindle account, put in your password and your book list will show up. So, it's tied into your Amazon account via your Amazon password. As long as you have your Amazon account password, you can access them from any computer. I really needed to jump in with that info because I am so tech illiterate it isn't often I have an answer. Hope I get this posted before anyone else hits the 'add reply' button. I'm not even going to proof read this. P.S. Windmorn is a whizz when it comes to this stuff. She also finds the coolest things on line.
17. Funny we are talking about this and Amazon just updated the Touch. Electronically that is. So now it look just a wee bit different but they added; landscape mode, language support where you can load 6 new foreign language dictionaries, enhanced table of contents, highlighting across the page, Wikipedia look up with just a tap, instant translations, sharing options, onscreen keyboard suggestions and text-to-speech summaries. Whew, all of that while I was asleep! The only thing I wish it did (other than clean my house) is to let you have a folder inside a folder like on the computer. They asked for suggestions and I'm going to email them that. Maybe if enough people do... I go to the Amazon website to delete unwanted books. It took me forever to figure out how to get rid of a book. They stayed in Archives and wouldn't go away. I downloaded a lot of the classics too. Most I haven't read and some I read and forgot about. I got the Willa Cather books and read My Antonia and loved it.
  18. I have a lot stored away to read for when I have more time. Some for next winter or if I get sick and reading will be my only enjoyment. Some of them are prepping and garden related so I'll keep them even after I read them. I have some medical and reference books too. I have quite a few cookbooks that I will go through and copy some recipes and delete the book. Most of the newer books do not stay free for very long so if you see one you think you might be interested in, it's best to download it while you can get it free. If you don't like it you can always delete it anytime. Also, many of the books are very short so are quick reads. I usually read at least an hour before I fall asleep every night. Most nights longer. It doesn't take long to go through the shorter books that way. I've never read so many books in my life! For one most of the ones I have are free and two I'd never have room to store them if they were in paper book form. And I'm saving trees...for firewood. Mine are on the reader so if the computer crashes they are all still safe. Barring an EMP that is. If things get that bad I probably won't have time to do a lot of reading anyway.
  19. Good luck on the bid. The house looks like the first one we bought in Indiana! It had 1 acre too. Our neighbors were vertical though.
  20. Be aware if you handle dog food to be sure to wash your hands. Especially important to teach the kids if they feed the dogs. COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Federal health officials say at least 14 people in nine states have been infected with salmonella by handling tainted dog food. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said no deaths have been reported, but at least five people have been hospitalized. The pet food was made at Diamond Pet Foods' plant in Gaston, S.C. The company said no pets were sickened but declined to comment further. Health officials say people can get salmonella by handling infected dog food, then not washing their hands before eating or handling their own food. The South Carolina plant was shut down April 7 and food made there has been recalled. Diamond Pet Foods paid a $3.1 million settlement after a toxic mold in its pet food killed dozens of dogs in 2005. http://www1.whdh.com/news/articles/national/12007386956144/salmonella-in-dog-food-sickens-14-people-across-us/
