Clovis
Since beef is so expensive I'm trying to stretch it as far as possible. Â Last night was about 1/2lb. hamburger with spanish rice, pinto beans, onion and homemade tomato juice, dried tomatoes and peppers. Not too bad. Desert was oatmeal bread fixed in the wood stove oven. Good mmmm. Â Tonight DH said he'd fix supper. Casey's pizza. I can do that once in a while. No cooking or dishes. Link to comment
furbabymom
Last night we had spaghetti, salad, and garlic bread. Â Tonight we'll either end up with take out, or else I'll make chili and corn bread. I picked up some ground buffalo meat in the discount bin last week and froze it. I love buffalo chili! GoatLady
I had a bunch of fresh breadcrumbs left from making yesterday's plum pudding, so I'm going to make chicken and stuffing tonight ) Link to comment
DenimDaze
Takeout pizza because we have friends coming over later. Nothing to clean up, just throw the box into the trashcan. Link to comment
Fritz_Monroe
Tonight we had fish tacos. They were pretty good, but next time we will not use flounder, probably use steak fish. It was just too thin to grill. We will also add rice next time to add some bulk to the meal. Link to comment
Dora
We had half a gallon of chili left over from the church fellowship, so we heated a can of tamales and a can of refried beans. Poured the chili over the top and topped with cheese slices and grated cheese. Tortilla chips on the side. Result - three plates licked clean (literally in one case LOL). Dora Link to comment
Leah
Nice having the kids grow older... I just arranged the chicken in the pan. It was spiced by DD; she also made rice, and a veg mixture of mushrooms, frenched green beans, carrot slivers, and broccoli. Link to comment
JCK88
Tonight is going to be half TVp half beef meatloaf which I season with tomato sauce, chopped spinach and cheese. We are making a gluten free vegetable tempura tonight to go with it. (using onions, slices of squash and green beans) We are being snowed in today and I always cook fun stuff on snow days! Â We had late breakfast of buckwheat waffles this morning. I rarely go to that much trouble in the morning but we are all being lazy, still in pjs at this hour...but..hey, I know what I'm makin' fer dinner! LOL Link to comment
serendipity
I am going to slow cook a yummy roast today with seasonings. We will let it simmer all day long, mmmm. Â I will make a rice pilaf too and a romaine salad will round it all out. Â Yummy and easy. Link to comment
Fritz_Monroe
I'm making up chicken corn soup. My mother told me what she uses, not a recipe. First shot at it, but I've deviated from what she does. I've added in onion, celery and carrot. Link to comment
DenimDaze
We're having the all American dinner of meatloaf, baked potato and veggies. A bit boring, but nice and hearty. Link to comment
Jewlzm
hmmm last night we had Steak and potatoes. Bookworm gave me some delicious steak seasoning I was waiting to try. It was Fantastic! Â Tonight.. maybe enchiladas.. chicken or beef not sure yet. Link to comment
serendipity
Well, since I got completely absorbed with another project (ironing plastic bags together to make material) and forgot to put the roast in I guess we are having grilled cheese now! Â LOL it is a good thing my kids can also kind of fend for themselves since I often forget about food. Â grrr.... Â Â Link to comment

gardeningmouse
Biscuit topped beef and tomato bake. My husband asked for "MAN" food for tonight. It'll probably kill me but he's getting it. Babykins is sick and hasn't been eating much today so she had a bit of soup earlier. Link to comment
furbabymom
I'm having some friends over for a soup and appetizer party this afternoon, so I probably won't be having dinner tonight. For the party, I'm making Hungarian Mushroom soup and Irish Soda Bread. Link to comment
