Ambergris
The opioids of the masses. TV, now internet. Alcohol, tobacco, weed, sex. Never mind whether you're going to have a roof over your head in two months or supper in two weeks. Weed is available now and there's a check coming in a week. Don't worry. There was a cartoon that came out during my teens. It had the Cheshire cat vanishing, but you know his grin stayed visible for a long time afterward. In the cartoon, the body was labeled "information" and the grin was labeled "everything's fine." Well here, the body is labeled "reality down the road" and the grin is labeled "sit home and be placid right now." 6 Link to comment
Mt_Rider
Well judging from shortages being reported for gardening seeds, potting soil, etc......not everyone is wearing the Cheshire cat's grin. The rest of us are going to garden, and whatever else we can to to ward off or mitigate the REALITY DOWN THE ROAD! MtRider ....yer gonna need DarthDuck to guard your gardens....a reality down the road.. 7 Link to comment

Littlesister
This is really a sad reality. My pastor just called a while ago. We are going to have a bucket sitting at the door with someone sitting just inside the doors and on Sunday from 10 am to 12 am we will have a drive through to drop our ties into. Our church is small and the money is needed to pay bills. We still need to keep the church going with or without the congregation being able to attend. Also he is working on having church services by way of Face Book. He will let us know when they get it set up. though I have been watching preaching on U-Tube and TV. That would be good to have our pastor having church service through face book. We had closed down last Sunday and this Sunday coming up but now it will be longer and he doesn't know when we can open. To many elderly folks. Our neighborhood and some other ones are on a bear hunt. All the neighbors are putting bears in the windows and people walking by hunt the windows for the bears. So I have one in my living room window. Also have a lighted cross in the window. Where's waldo anyone. Gives the kids something to do while out of school. Bear hunting. 3 Link to comment

"There has never before been a death associated with COVID-19 in an infant. A full investigation is underway to determine the cause of death," Ezike said. "We must do everything we can to prevent the spread of this deadly virus. If not to protect ourselves, but to protect those around us." An investigation into the cause of death is underway, Ezike said. The death of a child younger than one year with coronavirus has previously been reported in China. Ambergris
Good luck. My county had 17 acknowledged cases yesterday, plus however many got added today. Man on the news refused to let his 21 year old son (and two buddies) in the house after the kids spent a week partying on the beach in Texas. The man had his elderly parents in the house. He'd packed the kid's car with cash and groceries. Told them to pee in the bushes, take the car, and get on back to college. They were NOT setting foot in the house. I do not blame him a bit. He'd spent the week pleading for the kid to come home to no avail, you see. I can hear those boys' voices now, can't you? 5 1 Link to comment
