It still has a good life cycle in the third world countries where hygiene and education are lacking. That's just my thinking. I could be very wrong. I'm just preparing as usual with plans to stay put, comfortably, as long as possible. Virus, health, weather...it's always something. I figure if I prepare for the worst then I'll be pretty well covered for about anything. You can only do your best. But we have so much information here. It's been determined that test kits are unreliable, and people who previously tested negative are being later tested positive And notice the countries not reporting at all. Praying it won't get any worse not just for the USA, but for all countries. This virus is bad for the economy also. No one able to work so no imports nor exports in or out. This is going to play bad for everyone. It will cause a food shortage, auto parts, medications, both OTC and RX. clothing and so much more. China has been forcing people to go back to work. Brace yourselves for more people to become infected. It is on how to prepare for pandemics and quarantines. It is both on Nook and you can get the book. Amazon has it. This book is worth buying for everyone. Great information about it and on how to prepare. I think it will answer a lot of questions though I have not finished the book yet. The 13 "sick and exposed" people are at the University of Nebraska Medical Center campus in Omaha. Eleven are being housed in the National Quarantine Unit in the Davis Global Center at 42nd and Emile Streets and two are in the Nebraska Biocontainment Unit on the seventh floor of the Nebraska Medical Center’s University Tower at 44th and Emile. We here in the US have had it so easy for many, many years. When God is removed from a country the way it has been happening here. We best be on our knees praying and asking forgiveness for both ourselves and for our country. I have seen stores not quite like those pictures but right here when a hurricane was coming. We already know what going for 2 weeks without electricity and for my daughter and the neighborhood next to us was like without water. It can and will happen here in the US. As to where in the US, we don't know. Could be city wide or the whole country that goes through all of this. This Virus is already here in just 4 or 5 states. We all need to pray that this virus does not get out of control here in the US. And we need to pray for how we should prepare. God knows our needs and will answer us on what we need to do.. All we have to do is ask. We do not know if this virus is from something that just happened with bats and snakes or if it is God's punishment like the Bible said will happen. We don't know which it is. But the Bible does state we will have trials and tribulations, There will be famines, wars and rumors of war, pestilence, famine, and much more. We need to be ready, and prayerful at all times. I know that everyone on here that is following this virus is doing everything possible to be ready for it. DH and I have been in discussion for the past couple weeks. He's been picking up a bit more here and there. But the check came in and now we're placing some orders. Mostly cuz of our recent Refresher Course in What Life is Like for Us BOTH to Be SICK. That's what we're increasing in our supplies. Canned pears for me....it's one of the first things I can eat when sick. He's ordering cases of Korean Spicy Ramen packs. To each his own. Adding creamy hot cereals in #10 cans. Have lots of oatmeal. EASY on the STOMACH/DIGESTION foods. AND EZ COOK foods. Milk. Eggs now that we have no ducks. Beaten egg stirred into a Ramen type soup is a good quick meal. High in salt unless you make your own broth. That's what our focus is on. Not a whole lot. Need more 7-up type fluid. What we used up during this recent siege. Jello! MtRider 2 Link to comment

If you could come here and see what I have in those closets now and that doesn't count the kitchen cabnets. You would have a ball rummaging through all that food. We got lucky when a long term food place was going out of business and had the #10 cans reduced to first 50% off and then up to over 80% off. We got well over 125 or more cans of food. Though some things now DH cannot eat. But I am hanging on to it for family members to eat. Got hard red and white wheat, powder milk, eggs. veggies, fruit and the dinners which is what DH will not be eating. I want to try to add to that but in just the fruit and veggies. What we have are both freeze dried and dehydrated foods. After what I paid for the food I have now, it's hard to put out the high price for the full amount of a #10 can now. I think those prices are going up even higher as I hear they are now in high demand. 3 Link to comment
