We should pray about what we need to do and then act on that answer. Though sometimes I just go out and buy what I think we need. But it has turned out to be what we needed. I do hope what they said about China is not true but they are a socialist/communist country. Lord help us if Sanders becomes the next president. He is very much a socialist/communist and has as much said so. And yes even Noah was told by God to prepare for the flood. As well as in Egypt when (wow, I know his name and went blank) I want to say Benjamin who saved the people from a famine when there was the 7 years of plenty and 7 years of famine. He was prepared and did as God told him to do as well. There are a few places in the Bible where people were to prepare for bad things to happen. I can't help but wonder if this coronavirus is of God's will to wake the people up to turn to him. He does say in the Bible there will be earthquakes in virous places, famine, pestilence, wars and rumors of war. Seems everything is falling into place now. And in this country as the saying goes, A house divided will fall. I look at this country and it is so divided both by political and by racism as well. I told her make a list and start stocking up on things. I feel like with everything going on, its not just going to be a medical emergency, but a financial emergency as well. The stock market has been going down, down, down the last several days. I think that sooner or later people are going to panic and there will not be anything left in the stores. We will be waiting for items that may end up being stuck in transit due to quarantines. I feel like people will go from passive to DEFCON 1 quickly and it will end poorly for those that are not prepared. 3 Link to comment

The panic will come later as people start to wake up and find out this is for real. We don't do the stock market so it won't really effect us to much. Though our retirement checks could be a few dollars less. But not enough to hurt us so far. Just something else to add to my prayer list. it seems to be getting longer each day. As long as the trucks are able to roll we will be ok. But so much comes from China that could be a big problem for us. 1 Link to comment

Said they were sick...quote "we let ourselves down and didn't practice good handwashing etc.". They think this c19 thing is over-rated...figure? It may very well be, but why take the chance? We won't be visiting them any time soon! The regular flu season is still at large and allergy season is arriving before long. Everybody's mucous membranes will be irritated and vulnerable. Didn't know that I wanted to go there very bad but the woman is 95 and we're very close. How do you not go and see her??? Anyway, I did some major shopping while I was there. Wal-Mart was crazy in the aisles with the vitamins, aspirin, band-aids, shampoos, you know that area of the store. What the heck is going on, I said to a worker standing next to me. She said it's become crazy in this part of the store the last few days. She was right. It really was crazy. It made me think of a couple of days before Christmas with the numbers of people. I didn't go to the food aisles but the other aisles weren't busy at all. I bought some garden seeds, dish towels, totes, etc. etc. and it was just normal shopping. 3 Link to comment

Hubby and I went shopping last night and the day before, trying to avoid the rush. I feel like I'm waiting....for what, I don't know, but something. I saw a video of people in Hawaii (maybe?) with long lines at Costco for.... toilet paper. I mean, yes, it's important....but you can't eat it! Seems short sighted to only buy that. Anyway....I'm keeping my eyes peeled. I appreciate "talking" to y'all, and not feeling like I'm crazy. I don't understand how it is that people don't see what's going on. Did you know that the CDC has tested less than 500 people? In the whole country. Let that sink in a bit.... they're supposed to start testing more now (not sure why not before?). Stay safe everyone. The Coronavirus appears to have accidently leaked from a bio weapons facility in Wuhan China. A virus that is 80% contagious. Professionals unsure what to expect, has the power to completely disrupt every area of life, has no border restrictions and this is all happening at the release of the Trump-China trade deal, The Trump land for peace deal. A 7.7 quake within 40 minutes of President Trump's posting his boundary map of the covenant land, appointing a gay intel who will be the first openly gay member of the U.S. administration. And next week Mike Pence will be spending most of his day leading the U.S. coronavirus task force while taking time out to speak to 18,000 Jewish activist at the AIPAC policy conference on details of the Trump deal of the century pertaining to God's covenant land. Moreover President Trump's extensive Chinese trade negotiations effort and U.S. stock market success are being decimated. Knowing the Bible and what it says sounds like God is using China and Trump to bring things together for the end as we know it. There is more to this but just to much to type tonight. As the Bible says God raises up kingdoms and God takes kingdoms down when the people fall away from him. I look at what is going on in the world and here in the U.S. I see God at work. Think about what this country alone has done over the years that is against everything God stands for. It is time to get right with God and pray, pray, pray as it is so close to the end. I know they don't want to spread panic and I can understand that. But they need to let the public know what they need to be doing. It was said we don't need mask. Really! If we get sick with flu, stay home. Yes I can understand that. But. with coronavirus you have a much higher temp. than with the regular flu, you will have trouble breathing (bronchial) symptoms much worse than with flu. If you have it, staying home might be fine for some but, you have already spread the virus to family, friends, and co workers within that 14 day period. He also said there were 20 reported cases with one death. There are now 62 cases with 1 reported death. So my question is who do we believe? Our government or the CDC and others that's telling it like it is? I feel if we don't prepare now the way people are buying up food, medicines, etc. that if we don't get what we need now, then by I would say maybe April there won't be anything for us to get in order to prepare. I am basing that fact on the knowing that China makes over 95% of our prescription meds and OTC meds as well. So when everything stops coming in from China which I think it already has. We are left with nothing. I still say prepare now or it will be to late come end of March or April unless this is contained soon. 3 Link to comment

I was at Costco this morning at 9 when it opened to pick up some things....first thing I noticed was the young couple getting out with full masks with the small respirators on them. I saw them throughout the store with the shopping cart and a flatbed loaded with water, cleaning supplies, food, tp, etc. Also saw a couple of neighbors with hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol and lots of shelf stable goods. Then the groups of Asian students with shopping carts full of cases of water bottles and shelf stable foods. By 9:30 the store was overflowing...much more than the usual Saturday crowd. I was trying to get a temporal thermometer and Costco ran out of them last week. Going to hit up some other stores to see if I can find one. 5 1 Link to comment
