Ambergris
I'm home from work today and tomorrow. I had Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday off for my Thursday colonoscopy anyway, so the boss said just to stay home Monday and Tuesday while we listen for word of a breakout at my friend's office. Since they're advanced enough on the timeline to be showing the first symptoms beginning the middle of last week, her office will be showing drama all over the place by the end of this week--if they have coronavirus. If not, I can go back to my job on Monday with a clear conscience. The question is whether I will be having the colonoscopy. Honestly, I should have a good idea by Wednesday whether I'm good to leave the house. If there's any question, I'll call the doctor then and ask what they think. My guess is they will put off the procedure. I'd be just as happy with that. Six months from now or even next year is soon enough for me. 2 Link to comment
Ambergris
While I don't have any argument against contentions that the virus was weaponized, I do not think the government intentionally released the virus on its own people. That move makes no sense. The country's economy has cratered from this. 1 Link to comment
Mt_Rider
that this is a false alarm for all of you, Ambergris. Dunno...this little guy with the blue couch never seems far from me these days. But then....there is WORK for INCOME..... DH is at work now....working with people's food/drink utensils. One hint of anyone sick or connected to sick at his work.....he's outta there. Neither of us can honestly take the chance. We're not on the "Most Likely To Survive" list. 1 hour ago, Ambergris said: While I don't have any argument against contentions that the virus was weaponized, I do not think the government intentionally released the virus on its own people. Seriously! Super-High Intelligence does not always come with basic common sense! Then I read one article that opined that it might have been the janitor. Some employee who sold a monkey or other lab critter that wasn't needed anymore. Sold it to the wet market nearby to supplement his/her income. No proof of that but....you can imagine how that could happen. MtRider ...not sure we'll EVER know that one. 2 Link to comment

On another track--I read that the entire Country of Italy must adhere to their strict quarantine. Only travel is for work or family emergency. 2 1 Link to comment
Daylily
This is a helpful video. the video they mention from the Fallbrook Seventh-day Adventist Church YouTube channel is VERY helpful. Littlesister
Ambergris, China has a very large lab there and they do a lot of research there. From my understanding this virus was let loose by accident. But, with China being a communist country. Their government does not take care of it's people like other countries. They have people that are starving over there. This is why they have these markets. All makes of both wild and domestic animals are eating. Also I don't know if anyone has noticed but those animals are caged in a way they can't move hardly. Very inhuman the way they do things there. And this I heard and I hope and pray it is not true as I cannot as of yet confirm it. Yes they were going door to door and pulling people out of their homes and checking temps. This is the part I have not yet been able to verify but on another forum they say it is true. I need more proof but, They were taken the people out that had a fever and tested positive for the coronavirus to a field and killing them. It would not surprise me as they persecute Christians and a lot of other things that go on over there. Again it is a communist country so anything would not be beyond them. Just don't quote me on the taken people to a field and killing them if they have the virus. Still trying to verify that. They have had their crematories going 24/7 so I have heard also. That part I think was on TV awhile back. 2 Link to comment

Jeepers
Hi Daylily, good to see you back! Thanks for the info. I noticed he mentioned Dr. Redfield. I mentioned him in a post not too long ago where he said not to prepare etc. I saved the PDF too. Lots of good info in there. Thanks for the list Ambergris. I didn't know there were two cases in Hendricks County Indiana. It's next to Marion County which is Indianapolis which has one case, and probably more. Indianapolis, capitol of Indiana, 'the crossroads of America' with only one case. Don't think so... Sigh. 1 Link to comment

Jeepers
I thought about those ankle monitors too. I have no problem with them being used in the least bit. I think the farthest a person should be able to go is on their own property. This self entitled country can not self monitor. JMO. 3 Link to comment
Littlesister
Ok, I am beginning to think China did use this Coronavirus as a weapon. I can't get the link to come to here. But it is from Daisy the Organic Prepper. https://www.theorganicprepper.com/china-withhold-medical-exports. You would have to type it in or go to the organic prepper site to see what Daisy is saying. Ambergris
Okay, my potential exposure appears to have been a false alarm. The person who might have exposed the person who would have exposed me has recovered and is back to work. Also, it turns out she had "noncontagious issues." Hm. If I'd had information like that yesterday, I could have gone to work today. My boss would have been in a better mood by now. In related news, the big hospital in town has now announced that it has used five of its test kits. Five. Since the beginning. Wow. How...generous. Hey, Daylily! I meant to say hi earlier, but it doesn't look like I did. 3 Link to comment
out_of_the_ordinary
Hi, Daylily! Nice to see you here again! I hope our country doesn't use the Coronavirus as a reason to trample on the Constitution. People are stupid, but we do NOT want to legislate common sense. There's too much of that going on already (nanny-state). It's too slippery of a slope. THAT being said, that dad sounds either stupid or incredibly selfish and self-centered (I'm guessing the latter). With the lack of testing here for quite some time, should we all assume it's already around in our community? and be avoiding unnecessary outings/events, especially if we are at higher risk? 2 Link to comment

Daylily
Hi Jeepers, Mt Rider, Ambergris, OOTO, and everyone else too! Yes, a good time to be a prepper. I have mentioned to a couple of people that they might want to make a list of things they might need if they couldn't leave home for a few weeks and get those things. One didn't comment and one said, "Maybe it won't get that bad." It's hard to imagine that it would but it could happen. Later today the one that didn't comment emailed me the news that Italy was on lockdown so maybe it sunk in. I get email updates from the thread Watcha Doing Today so I've been keeping up with y'all but seldom have time to post anything. Take care, everybody! 5 Link to comment

Littlesister
Looks like this coronavirus is rising fast. I didn't know there were 7 in VA now. DH's heart doctor and us were talking about it today. He said though it is not in our area yet, he wants DH to stay home and to wait to have the speech therapy for his swallowing. Since they never called to set it up, we will just hold off on that. I might go out tomorrow for a few odds and ends but leaving him at home. He will be getting out on Thur. as he has another doctor appt. this time with his allergist. Then again the end of the month for lab and phys. That will be enough getting out for him for a long while. 3 1 Link to comment
