  1. Sewing can be fun. I do quilts sometimes. I learned as a kid, but have never done a lot with it, except for quilts. Right now, our church is having a monthly Women's craft night at church. I have managed to attend once, per scheduling conflicts, but it was fun and I got a chance to work on my next quilt project==a T-shirt quilt for DH & I.

  2. A2N, I have nodules in my thyroid. I've had the ultrasound, and the biopsy (2x). I hated the biopsy, but all turned out benign. I've had 2 knee surgeries, one involving the meniscus removal. You can & will recover. Time will heal things, as do your PT like they tell you. If your insurance provides for it, go to a professional physical therapist--it will help a lot to motivate you and make sure you are doing the exercises properly.

    Hang in there!

  3. Wormie, what about traction & eventually the back exercises to reduce the disc herniation? Also there WAS a treatment using papaya extract to dissolve the offending portion of the disc that was in use back in the 80's when my Mom blew a disc in her back. She was successfully treated by traction/exercises though. Have you seen a GOOD physical therapist for your back yet? Some of them can work wonders!
